This was listed for Pentax however it was for Canon. It can be used on a Pentax in manual mode only. I can't say if the product is good or not, the 3 stars is for the mislabeling.

DO NOT FUNCTION WITH PENTAX !!!
ATTENTION:Camera Gear used: 2 each Pentax K5 cameras, one Metz 58 AF2 flash, one Yongnuo AF 560ii flash.I ordered a set of Aputure Trigmaster 2.4Ghz for Pentax (listed as for Pentax) I received a package that said "for Canon". I called Fotodiox support and they said these trigs are for Pentax also, though labeled for Canon. SO, I continued to test them out, but they did not work!!!First issue: they will NOT sync faster than 1/100. Try to shoot 1/125 and there will be a dark fade on part of the image, 1/160 is a black out, but these advertise 1/250: NOT SO!!!Second issue: Initially they work right after turning them on (at 1/100), but then they go to sleep after about 2 minutes. Press the test button on transmitter, first flash fires, second flash fails, press a second time, they both work. THEN you can take a picture. Pain in the Friggin' Butt!!!!!!!!!! If you try to just hit the shutter, nothing wakes. You will get black images if you shoot since the flash will not fire. ( AND YES, I TURNED OFF SLEEP MODES ON BOTH FLASHES!) I also tested these without being mounted to the flash and cameras. There are confirmation lights on the transmitter and receivers themselves so you know if they communicate. These things communicate with each other with the same failures as with gear attached.SO, I called and emailed a tech support rep at Fotodiox. He shipped me a second set of Aputure Trigmaster 2.4Ghz transmitter+2 receiver combo package. He said he would test them first. NOT SO. I received the package 2 days late and clearly not tested for the package was unopened and the A23 battery that came with the package was dead. FORTUNATELY, I had a spare A23 battery.Well, I tested the second set. SAME PROBLEMS. I contacted Fotodiox to tell them the issue and I was going to send out a warning to Pentax customers, but the rep said this review I am now writing would be appreciated on Amazon and Pentax Forums as though he was not even going to contend that these do function properly, and seemingly, Fotodiox/Aputure is not going to make an effort to address this issue their selves.BOTTOM LINE: APUTURE TRIGMASTER 2.4Ghz do NOT work with Pentax Cameras!!!

fails to fire flash
I waited to test this until I was able to get the light stands I wanted.Today, I got my light stands, and unpacked the triggers, used NEW batteries, as I never trust batteries shipped with products, set up the channels, light stands, flash units, (one is a generic manual flash, the other is a Pentax auto unit).Hit the test button a couple times and only one flash unit would fire, (the pentax). Swapped flashes on the triggers, then neither flash would fire, tried the transmitter on the camera, no flash fires. Turned off everything, turned everything back on, attempted test fire, no flash.I cannot return the units, because I waited too long, (purchased in April) it is now December, LOL.Now I have not only a set of wireless triggers that are worthless, but also, the light stands are worthless as well, without lights, LOLThe ability to trigger the camera will never work for my Pentax K-x, as that function requires using a cord from the trigger to the camera, and my camera has no port for remote shutter, only an IR trigger will work.In short, the receivers will not fire the flash. This has NOTHING to do with camera compatibility, the flash units work perfectly on camera, the hot shoe is standard for Canon/Pentax/Nikon etc. These triggers just fail to function as remote flash triggers. Junk. Bummer.

Not what I expected
Didn't work as expected on pentax. Maximum syncro speed for flash 1/90, I was hoping 1/180 (that's the highest for a pentax camera). After few seconds in stand by, if I didn't shot any picture I had to turn off and on again the triggers or they wouldn't fire my flash and still, sometimes didn't fire the flash, had to turn off transmitter and receiver and turn it on again several times and waste pictures until I got the response of the flash.Maybe they work for canon or nikon but for me, on pentax they are not a good option.
