good, very sturdy
haven't put it up on my wall yet, so can't speak to how well it holds, but just the drawer itself it looks nice and is quite sturdy

multiples will be a challenge
I got a bunch of these to put in a row. I'm not an expert handy person--caveat. However it wasn't too bad given that I was attaching them to wood paneling. I used the French cleat option, which--it's true--is happy to jump right off the wall if you bump it wrong. I used the French cleat because I wanted to be sure to be able to mount this to a stud. The cleats will allow that but the spacing on the screw mount plate won't.here are some things to know. If you use the French cleat option and you want to attach the French cleat to a stud, don't do it the wrong way. Go ahead and drill that pilot hole into the French cleat where you know you'll need it; if you don't you'll split the wood (sad...I split and then learned). Attaching this to a stud made a GIGANTIC difference in the amount of play on the wall post installation. At first I just threw them up (without anchors) directly onto the wood panelling. Stud mount highly suggested.it would easier to install these if the drawer could be removed. I mean, that would make it easy. If the drawer is removable...it's not obvious or easy to do so. The template for the French cleat mount is off. Meaning that if you use it to install multiples they won't be flush with one another. In fact, they'll be too close and you'll have to adjust which is a major pain and defeats the purpose of a template, oui? We all agree? Oy.Shimming the cabinets from below helps with stability but...if you over shim and use the French cleat option they pop off the wall. Maybe I'm telling you things that are obvious. Also, you wouldn't want shims if you want an uberclean look from below. Mine are located really close to the floor so it doesn't matter.I had trouble getting these level. A lot of trouble. Getting them level and getting them flush with one another. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Functional for sure. Not yet gorgeous. I think the tweaks that will require is a separate project. Salty about the bum template: that complicated installation unnecessarily.I saw a lot of people mounted these on drywall. Don't even think about doing that if you don't have a stud available! if you do have a stud the French cleat works and you can drill a pilot hole into it where you need to. (If you skip the pilot hole you'll likely split the wood; I did). Also it's a little annoying that there is no play in the cleat. If you're off (and the template's off) by a millimeter it looks bad. So I trimmed my cleat back pieces so I could slide the multiples to be perfectly flush. was a lot of work. 😂 Worth it. This is the best thing I saw on the market for quality at this price. Drawers open smoothly. Everything is solid and well made. You could stack these, too, if you wanted.

Great look, but do not use the provided hardware
These looks great as bedside tables and were super easy to install. A little on the small side, but we have sconces instead of bedside lamps, so it suits our needs.A few things about installation:- we did not use the French cleat since so many people reported issues with it, instead we used screws and the mounting plate option- we bought our own screws and wall anchors (1 1/4 length with 1/4 in pilot hole)- unfortunately one of the mounting plates was not affixed to the shelf so we had to buy our own hardware to secure itSo far we’ve had no issues with the shelf “jumping off the wall” as some of the other reviewers have described with the French cleat. Overall very happy with how it turned out.

Nice
Installed these in our bedroom. We have a bed with drawers and now we can open them all without having our nightstands in the way. They’re pretty sturdy, we each have a lamp and a few other items on each floating nightstand.

Nice nightstand, BYO hardware.
Edit: Middleton Row has awesome customer service and really made things right! I'm adding two stars to my review. The actual nightstand is nice, albeit somewhat small. However, the hardware it comes with is terrible. It doesn't come with the appropriate amount of hardware and the hardware it does come with (2 large and 3 small screws and 2 anchors) is of very poor quality. The heads of two of the small screws sheared off after one attempt at sinking them, with a guide hole. I searched the whole box and that handful is all I got for hardware. I ended up using my own because after shearing off the other two, I didn't trust their stuff to hold up.Instructions also recommend a 5/16 bit which would be far too large for the anchors provided. Go for a 3/16.Finally, the drawer just didn't fit right and is very squeaky. Even WD-40 can't fix this guy. Just not worth the money.
