You can not beat this mouse for the money!
First off let me just say that I have small hands and prefer to claw/fingertip grip a mouse. Finding a mouse that fits my small hands with my grip style while having an excellent optical gaming sensor is definitely no easy task. The Cougar Minos X3 Optical Gaming Mouse fits my needs!Pros: The Minos X3 ergonomic yet balanced design fits my hand perfectly, the rubber texture grip on the left and right side ensures that I do not loose control of the mouse, lighting effects are awesome and easily adjustable, weight is light which I absolutely love for fast flick shots, no software needed as you just set the buttons on the bottom and are ready to start gaming, scroll wheel has nice tactile feedback, pads on the bottom of the mouse are nice and large so this Minos X3 will last, materials used on top of the mouse will last and not show ware as other rubber-ish coated mice would show, OMRON switches feel perfect as usual, this is one of the ONLY mice that gets the color "White" perfectly, and honestly it is just one sexy looking mouse on your desk. Definitely capable in any FPS or MOBA game out there. Seriously for the price you can not beat this mouse with anything on the market!!!Cons: Personally I prefer the side buttons to be a little larger (they are definitely distinct and easily identified), but it is definitely something that I have gotten used to and will not dock a star for it.Pictures do not do it justice (have bad lighting in my office), It looks and feels amazing. I will update this post as time passes and I use the Cougar Minos X3.If you have not given Cougar products a shot, I would definitely recommend them as they provide great quality products.

Amazing value in this high quality mouse!
Wow! This was a total surprise for me. Very well made mouse and it feels like a quality product. I really like the textured sides which keeps my fingers from sliding on the sides of the mouse. This mouse is plug and play and requires no software. It has two switches on the bottom that adjust the DPI settings and the Polling rate. The DPI settings are 800, 400, 1600, 3200 and the Polling Rates are 125, 250, 500, 1000. I personally found that with most mice I find the DPI setting that I like and never change it, so this works perfect for me.I highly recommend giving it a shot.(Edit: I actually wanted to follow up on this: I bought a second one to stash away as a spare in case they ever stop making it)

**UPDATED** Worked great until the return window closed.
**Original review below** UPDATED!First mouse I received was faulty. (It worked great at first, but gradually got worse and worse until it was essentially unusable. I tracked Cougar's website help email down and tried to contact them. *STILL* haven't been responded to. Fortunately, one of their people reads the reviews here and jumped into action. (He's in the comments below!) Alex was wonderful! He ordered a replacement for me, and got it out to me quickly. When the new mouse arrived, I had problems with it immediately. I was worried that my computer was the issue, I ran a host of tests, updated drivers, tried different USB ports etc. Tried it on a different computer, and it worked. Another comment popped up suggesting that I use a mouse pad. (Which was strange, because I do use one.) A little more research and with optical mice a matte mouse pad makes all the difference! (This is my first optical mouse... learn something new every day!)Tried the first mouse to see if the problem was mine from the get go. It is still defective (unfortunately).Short version:Original Mouse was defective, customer service contacted me through here, and was magnificent, replacement was in hand very quickly.Mouse is very attractive, has a great hand feel. (My kids think its freaking awesome... and if you aren't buying a mouse to impress a 6 and 9 year old, why are you buying one? LOL)Definitely a good purchase!! VERY pleased with it!Thank you to Alex Du at COUGAR!!**ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW**I was very happy with this mouse at first. Shortly after the return window closed it started lagging when moving it around on the screen. It now lags regularly enough that FPS games are unplayable.I have submitted a contact to cougar, hopefully they will be able to swap this out for a functioning mouse. Its's pretty, my kids love how how looks (me too honestly). But unless it pushes the pointer around on the screen more reliably its a pretty piece of plastic.

Very Good Mouse
Really good value when under $20, at that price point it's a 4.5 for me but can't put that in. The Pixart 3310 sensor feels very good and construction is really solid. Driverless setup limits your dpi options, so be sure one of the 400/800/1600/3200 works for you going in. Also, the button on top is for cycling colors, so there's no dpi switch button on top, only on the bottom. I got this mouse for $14.10 after a $5 coupon; it is head and shoulders above most of the avago 3050 sensor mice in that price range. For me, this joins the Hiraly F300 and Talentech Ember as the best value priced mice I've used.

Very good for the price
Large enough to fit in hand comfortably, buttons on side often get pressed accidentally when improperly holding the mouse eg when surfing the web, left and right mouse button are very easy to press in so be wary of you rest your fingers near the end of the buttons, allows change in dpi and poling rate without having ugly sliders on top, nice looking back lighting

Excellent mouse.
This is a great mouse. I've had the very expensive, high end mice, but they don't last. This one is so good, I bought a second one to use with my laptop.

My review after a couple weeks of use.
I've had it for a couple weeks now and everything is working as intended. The lights switching colours non-stop is a little obnoxious but everything performs well and looks good while doing so. Worth it/10.
