Mitutoyo500-753-20,0Caliper, DIGIMATIC, 0-8", IP67, 0005" 0/01 mm No SPC

At the time of writing this review (late 2021) this caliper is the cheapest coolant proof caliper in the line up of good quality measurement tools. I've had several Mitutoyo calipers, so quality was no concern when it came to buying this coolant proof one. I will say the market is saturated with fakes of Mitutoyo, but this one is legit! It is solid, repeatable, battery lasts well, and accurate. I'll often check it to micrometers, or stack up gauge blocks and a test indicator, and I haven't ever seen it measure off more than .002". Ask anyone that actually knows about checking parts, and they won't trust calipers to less than .003-.005".Perhaps the only thing I don't like about this is the lack of on / off button (display times out, comes on with movement) and no absolute / incremental button. I believe this is to keep moving parts on the face at a minimum, for better coolant and dust proof performance. Just a guess. It doesn't bother me too much! I really like these calipers, and would buy them again for sure!

Depth rod has a lot of slop, it moves over .03 side to side and it rattles when I set in on the bench. Disappointed it’s not as good as the aos model I’ve been using.

Great calipers, almost everybody at the shop I work for own the Mitutoyo 8" coolant proof calipers. Great for taking measurements of parts in the machines that have coolant dripping on your calipers

These are great, cheaper than you can get them just about anywhere. Great product at a great price. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This a real Mitotoyo caliper not a clone. Almost went elsewhere after being warned on YouTube. You can’t believe everything people post online. This is great! New! Thx

I bit the bullet and paid $200 for a Mitutoyo 500-753-20 caliper.Prior to purchasing the Mitutoyo, however, I paid $25 for a cheap digital caliper that couldn't reliably repeat a measurement. It had the "feature" that its battery cover would fall off nearly every time I picked it up.The Mitutoyo is undeniably an expensive tool, but the build is rock solid and its measurements are spot-on.Save yourself $25 and get the Mitutoyo.

Came quick and they work perfect, can repeat the same number down to ten thousandths of an inch multiple times.

I bought this item as fullfilled by amazon which is legit upon doing some inspection. Quality is not the best as there is some minor scratch and dirt which can be cleaned but for the price I paid its not acceptable. Mitutoyo QC went downhill this past few years.
