CREATESPACE The Complete Poems of Emily Dickenson
B**E
Not her original punctuation but it's a nicely arranged quality volume
I'm far from a Dickinson scholar, have been more like a casual fan, and I needed this edition of her poems to become more familiar with them, but after a quick look I do know that she had a unique system of punctuation using various types of dashes that has not been preserved in this book; rather, the editor has chosen to go with more usual (and understandable?) commas and so on in most places. To fully understand how she wrote them, I guess it must be necessary to buy the 2 volume facsimile edition of her works, but that is over my head for now and perhaps forever- I hope to explore Dickinson's unique genius for quite a while using this book and then we'll see if I want to move on to the facsimiles.
