cute books. They are different, but definitely bright colors and interesting textures for little ones to play with. I got these for my grand-niece who is a newborn so it will be a few months before I can tell what a success they are. Still there is lots of stimulation here and a simple story to read. Not sure about some of the words for new readers - perhaps instead of "the flowers are fragrant" a small child may find it easier to read smaller words like "the flowers smell nice." But I suppose getting kids off to using "bigger" words is not necessarily a bad thing.
