Fantastic Device; You Can Change From a Low Temp Trigger to a High Temp Trigger and Back
I have had two of these for 6 years running in very high temperatures, outside, in monsoons (under a cover and wrapped in a plastic bag). They look like it but they have held up well. I cannot recommend them enough even if I DON'T recommend you use them in a rather uncontrolled environment like I have -- they aren't rated for wet. Also, please note that if they haven't changed it, you can adjust these units for either heating or cooling no matter which one you get. Here's the info from the manufacturer: ********** Q: I have a BN-link Heating controller. Is there a way to convert into a cooling controller? A: Yes, you can change the setting from heating to cooling! (or vice versa, from cooling to heating) follow these steps to switch between cooling and heating for your heating thermostat controller. 1. Disconnect the thermostat controller from power. Press and hold both SET and DOWN buttons, and Connect the thermostat controller to the power and wait 2-3 seconds until indicator F or C illuminates. Indicator F illuminates: the device has been switched to cooling mode. (This is what you want in your case) Indicator C illuminates: the device has been switched to heating mode 2. Disconnect the device from the mains and the mode switching is now completed. ********************

Works Great For Controlling My Shed Exhaust Fan
Using for uninsulated storage shed exhaust fan control. Have used daily for two weeks now in over 100f temps. Unit has been flawless. Turns fan on at the exact temperature I set. Digital display shows current ambient temperature in bright red letters that are always on (not sure if you can shut them off through programming)-but I need to be able to see the temp of the shed interior without having to climb up on a stool and push a button....so this suites the need, as I have it mounted up high in the shed. Temp shown on t-stat is 2 degrees "hotter" than my Klein Thermal Sensor's readings-and it is spot on...so not bad at all for the price I paid.

As others have mentioned, you get what you expect with this . . .
Works well for a few days now, kicks on at the set temp. It’s been reliable so far. Installation was simple—there’s a keyhole slot on the back to hang it on a screw. My only complaint is that it has just one mounting slot at the top, so the bottom isn’t fully secured. It includes a wired temperature probe, allowing flexible placement. I kept mine near the unit, and it reads accurately. The digital display is bright and easy to read, even from across the room at night. Programming is straightforward: hold the “Set” button, then adjust with the up/down arrows. Pros: Compact, accurate, bright display, easy setup Cons: Only one mounting slot; temperature adjustment requires holding “Set” first. So far, so good, happy and hope it holds up long term.

Failed after a month
Bought 2 of these for a home brewery. After owning for about 90 days and using for just over a month and after plugging one of these back in for a new fermentation, this thermostat clicked off and stayed off. Up until then I thought it was a pretty good quality item and reasonably easy to use but now, after only a brief period of use, it's trash. No option for return apparently. So for any home brewers out there, don't think you'll get the same durability that we've had with other thermostat available to us. Happy to reconsider if they honored the warranty (which they would do if this failure is unusual), but they are not offering that option. Update: Seller provided full refund with no hassle. My second unit continues to work well and as stated, they are easy to operate. Accordingly, I would/will try again when I need a unit of this type.

Very simple to set up - takes less than two minutes. Works great and is a very well built product!
This is a very well built product! And this is just what I needed and it’s so easy to set up and use. Now when my shed gets up to the temperature I set this will activate a fan plugged into it. When set up it displays the ambient temperature. When that equals or exceeds the temperature you salet, it activates whatever is plugged into it. In my case it’s a fan. Highly recommended.

Holds the room temperature at night.
I have this running a fan that cools off the bedroom at night. So far it has been able to hold the temperature as long it is cool enough outside. My only complaint is that the sensor wire is too short. I really wanted to have the sensor about 15 feet from the fan so I spliced in a long wire. This uses a thermister with a room temperature resistance of 25K ohm so a very long wire could be added with no loss in accuracy. It would have been very useful if an extension wire was made available by the manufacture.

Longevity
I bought it last year and it worked good for 1.5 yrs and was only used during the summer so roughly 4.5 month of actual use. I went into my greenhouse to see that it would activate at 95 degrees. I first thought it was the outlet, but after testing and the non illuminated screen I knew it was a toast. Not impressed with its longevity. I wouldn't buy it if you have other options. This was my second time I bought the exact model and I should have learned my lesson so shame on me.

Terrific product, keeps my beer fridge the right temp, always.
I purchased this digital thermostat for my kegerator, and it has been a game-changer! My keg fridge is built into the counter, making it difficult to reach the control dial on the back. This thermostat allows me to control the fridge temperature to very specific settings in an accessible way. The setup was straightforward, and it has worked flawlessly since I bought it over a year ago. I can easily manage the temperature, ensuring my beverages are always at the perfect chill. Overall, I highly recommend this digital thermostat for anyone needing precise and convenient temperature control for their kegerator or fridge.

Maybe a bad one OR Maybe not as good as they appear
I like the design of this. The features are pretty good, except would be nice to be asble to set the temp in 0.5 increments not just full degrees. Reason i state that is then it would be able to have a narrower " action window" between on and off. Now as for the one i received, i have done a side by side temperature check with a known / calibrated thermal probe and i find this unit reads most of the time about 2 degrees C to the high side. That could be easily taken into consideration when setting the temperature. HOWEVER i have also found this to have an error of as much as 1.5C lower than actual to as high as 5C above actual over its adjustment range.... i suspect they have a poor calibration curve in the firmware for the probe used. OR Maybe this is a bad one .... just not as good as people think they are ??? I tried to save a few bucks compared to Inkbird, but in reality for $10 more and having a unit that does cooling and heating in same device PLUS a calibration curve option, inkbird is the winner. this is just too over priced to have these problems .. returning
