Beautiful book for little girls
I bought it as a gift for my 5 year old cousin, not knowing much about it and was immediately impressed with the beautiful illustrations. It may be a little too old for her but I know she'll grow into it. It has a sweet message, too: a little girl asks her dad what makes people happy, then she goes to sleep and dreams that she and her unicorn fly around and ask all sorts of fairy tale creatures the same question. She comes to the realization that different things make different people happy, which is a good message to send to kids at a young age. I'm very happy I bought this book and I know my cousin will like it. I also bought her the matching unicorn doll by Yottoy which is a very high quality doll that will make the story come to life even more for her. The two together make a great gift!

Beautiful illustrations and great book
Given as a Christmas present to my 4yr old granddaughter who is ln love with Unicorns. Great story which also teaches a wonderful lesson about "happily ever after". The illustrations are lovely. She can listens to at bedtime, looks at on her own, and I think will keep as her first real book.

A favorite over the years
I first discovered this book about 6 years ago. It's been a favorite in our house, and as a gift for other children. Illustrations are lovely. It's whimsical, incorporating fairy tales, elves, and a unicorn into the story. It's relatable for children. It makes a great bed-time story.

the art is pretty.
I bought this because my daughter's name is Claire and, of course, she loves unicorns. The story was just alright...not very creative or meaningful...the art is pretty.

Great purchase, excellent book
This book was purchased as a baby shower gift. My son and daughter in law knew they were having a baby girl and named her Claire. I loved the story and that the dad was reading the book to the little girl. It was a perfect gift for my son and I look forward to reading it to our little Claire!

Whimsical and charming
My daughter's name is Claire and I found this when searching for items for her unicorn themed birthday party, so I bought It sight unseen! I was delighted to find that it was a charming story about finding happiness and what happiness looks like to others. Very insightful and fun for young readers.

Great good night story
I am reading this to my 4 year old daughter as a bed time story. We both enjoy it very much. Some crazy mixing of fairy tales and the eternal question: how to become happy. The take-away may be a little to a meta for a child. but its a great trip! Kindle version is flawless!

Good
This book has beautiful illustrations and a nice story. The only reason I docked a star was because the story referred to other stories, and if the child is not familiar with those, they won't get as much out of it.
