My Baby Record Book Blue

Bought this HARDCOVER copy for my son to match the one I bought for my daughter that will be born soon (August 2014). At first I thought it was just another baby book, but WOW! does it have some awesome contents. It has questions that aren't even performed much anymore like naming ceremonies and baptisms. It has a spot for the family tree that goes back to the baby's great grandparents. It's got lots of photo areas to place a photo to match what the pages are about. It's fantastic! I can't wait to get my baby girl's book in and start documenting!

Very nice book. Includes pages for photos, doctor visits, etc. Pages for everything you need to write down.

I received this book as a gift from my mom when my son was born in December 2011. It is full of old-style nursery rhymes, sweet generic pictures that are sentimental but not sappy, and plenty of space/lines to write your memories. There are spots for photographs to be glued/taped on just about every page. It is not like other books I have seen where it asks "How much is a loaf of bread?" or "Leaders of our nation" and spends a good deal of time on those environmental things. It focuses primarily on the child and the family.My one (minor) complaint about this book is that it does repeat questions in different categories. For example, part of the book chronicles by month-- 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, etc. There is a spot for "New Things" that happened during the month so you could put down "Oh, darling son smiled at me today when we had our first bath in the baby tub." Later on in the book, it asks you about "Firsts" and includes things like "First Smiled" or "First Bath." I realize this is easily overcome with some organization, but I was a bit irritated by that at first.My other pout moment is that this book, precious as it is, only has the space for one year. Just one. I would dearly have loved this to go on to encompass at least the first three years if not longer!I actually liked this book so well that I bought the My Baby Record Book for Girls just a few days ago, as we are expecting our daughter in arrive in a few weeks. I want her and her big brother to have matching books for their memories.

This is a lovely Baby Record Book. Both my daughters loved it for their sons, but as one was posted directly from Amazon as a gift I was disappointed that the accompanying message was not included.
