I bought these shocks for my 05 Excursion 4wd after reading (on an Amazon review) that these, 2wd-specific, shocks would open my rear hatch higher. They do just that, so a grown man doesn't have to duck.These go on without a single tool--except that a flat screwdriver makes taking the old ones off easier. The new ones pop on by hand.They are very stiff, however. My wife was able to hang from the handle without closing the hatch. This is not a big concern because she cannot reach the handle now without help.

These items generally work well right out of the package. Unfortunately in this situation, one works well and the other one barely works at all. The single one works well enough during the summer, however I will probably need to re-order when we get to the cold weather of winter

It took me 10 minutes to swap out my Rear Glass Window Lift Supports. Now my back lift does not stop in the middle of lifting or fall on my head. These are very strong lift supports and were a perfect fit for my 2WD Ford Excursion.

Held up my hatch like new. Just make sure to remove both shocks before installing new ones, and have something to prop up your hatch if you don't have a helper!

Worked perfectly. The last thing you want is for the supports to fail on this giant back glass. Get these supports at the first sign that the window is not staying up.

Easy to install. The window opens and closes easily. It appears to be a durable product so far.
