Excellent system that is both speedy and easy to use
The Matebook D15 Windows 11 Intel Core i5 11th Gen Laptop is an excellent choice for most tasks. The i5 processor is fast and opens the system within a matter of seconds. It's biggest drawback being the price, as there are alternatives out there, however, saying that, this had been one of the best laptiops I have owned. I own an HP, Dell, Asus, and several others, which are all now mostly outdated being win10. The weight comparison for instance from the 15 inch hp and the 15 inch Huawei is night and day. Another key point being it's heat dispersal. Being an SSD, it does not get warm. Screen quality is good, although reflection is a bit of a problem. Overall, a very easy to use, functional laptop. The down side is the price unless you can grab one in the sale, which brings it down to the specs. Had an SGIN, which never really worked from out the box, so a much better choice for me. I would like to make a special mention to TAB retail LTD (the seller) whose customer service was excellent when Amazon lost the first laptop. TAB posted it special delivery, meaning it arrived the next day. (should have been a 10 day waiting period) A big thank you to Lauren and the team down there. Much appreciated.

Matebook D15
I've been searching for a replacement for my longstanding and absolutely brilliant Sony Vaio laptop for months, and time and again I have returned to the Matebook D15 when trawling through the mire of available laptops over and over again. So I took the plunge and I am not disappointed. Yes I miss a backlit keyboard, but the pros outweigh the cons. The trackpad can be a little too sensitive at times, but I am sure that will settle when we get better acquainted. The screen is bright and sharp, it's extremely fast to start up and the speakers are more than adequate. It was a very decent price at the time of purchase, so here I am enjoying this laptop from the off. I'm quite surprised to see comments saying it feels and looks cheap. Personally I think it punches above its weight in design and build quality. For the price point this is a decent piece of kit. So far, so good. Fingers crossed that it continues that way.

Great laptop, awful webcam
I've had this laptop for about a month, mainly used for processing geospatial data and some light gaming. The CPU, 11th gen Intel i5-1135G7, is plenty fast enough for a laptop although 8GB RAM wasn't quite enough for my needs in retrospect; unfortunately the second RAM slot is soldered off. The integrated graphics are fine for basic gaming at 1080 (pushing about 30fps low/medium detail) & will provide 4k over HDMI for a second screen (or over WiFi sharing under Win11). 512GB SSD is enough for most, and external or cloud drives can easily expand this if necessary. There wasn't much pre-installed software, although some is only available using other Huawei devices such as share & cast options. Some of it is genuinely useful, including hotkeys to select Performance/Balanced power modes and to set battery charge to Home/Office/Travel (70%/90%/100%) to protect the battery life over time. Battery life is about 3.5 hours from 70% to 5%, so fine for home use away from the plug. My only gripes with the laptop in order of least to worst are: - lack of backlit keyboard (I didn't know I'd miss it this much) - very clackety keys (I do type quite fast so it does make quite a lot of noise when keys bottom out) - the pop-up webcam, which is practically unusable (when the laptop is on my knees, the camera captures my upper torso but nothing above my chin; if you intend to use this for more than occasional use, choose one with a fixed camera preferably on the top of the bezel) Overall, a good quality laptop really let down by an awful camera solution.

Great all-rounder it would seem!
Having had a 2019 other-branded cheap thing for the last couple of years, I was starting to find the lack of memory was struggling. As a Huawei phone and watch user, I found it wise to continue into the 'ecosystem' and upgrade to the 2021/8gb/512gb/i5. After a week's use and playing around, it does all I need to do with space for more. I'm not much of a gamer but am a bit of a geek with cities skylines and with all the mods and additions a decent amount of memory is needed and this thing does it with no issues. I also edit videos for youtube, voice overs etc too to accompany cooking demos and agiain, this beast has no issues handling multiple tasks and you can quickly switch between menus or windows etc. So far so good. The battery is a bit of negative as it does tend to drain a little quick, but having the ease of a USB charge means that even if you are caught short whilst out and about it hasn't caused me too many issues.

Best Laptop I've Had!
Now, I'm no laptop expert and I don't use them for gaming but this laptop is the best I've had. The best thing is it is SO quiet. My last laptop was an acer and even with the volume on full, I couldn't watch shows because the fan was so loud. This laptop is silent, doesn't overheat and is (for what I do with it) quick. Starts up in a flash and the battery is lasting longer than I expected based on other reviews. I couldn't be happier , got it at a hefty discount so really pleased. I use it for shows, emails, website editing/design, writing and watching shows.

The best laptop at the price point
Great laptop for everyday use. Boots up nice and quick. Secure access with biometric login. Despite what other folks have said, there is a webcam on the top row. You just have to press down and it pops up.

A great little Lap-Top, recommended.
Replacement for a very expensive and only two and a half year old computer. I had an expert set this one up for me, his view was a great little PC at a fantastic price.

Quick start
Ok so it's Chinese and I may be a pawn for the very small minority in China who are members of the party. That put aside the specs are a reality. No dvd drive, but that's the norm now. It played straight away, updates required as always. Light solid great screen and sound. If you prefer buttons with the touch pad this may need a mouse. So far top drawer
