Great CD player. Very nice build quality, superb sound and easy to operate. Comes with a remote control, detachable power cord, RCA cables and printed user guide.

Well worth the money absolutely amazing sounds

Only had the unit a week, but first impressions are of a well made unit although perhaps the cd tray Is a little flimsy. Performs very well at the price level and complements our existing Yamaha units.

I should have bought this CD player a long time ago. My old Technics CD player failed and as I already have a Yamaha amp (AS701) I thought I would get a Yamaha CD player. The build quality is excellent and looks great on the shelf above my amp. Sound quality is superb, I didn't think it could get much better than my old player but I was wrong. It sounds clean and crisp. The complaints about the skipping and clicking sounds are fixed by simply updating the firmware by USB stick, you can download the update from the Yamaha website.

This CD Player is good value as it is reasonably priced giving a good sound quality with a remote control that is well designed complementing an attractive and easy to use machine.

Bought this along with yamaha amp and Audizio tuner connected to my old denon speakers and it all sounds top notch ,had some good systems over the years but this set up now sounds amazing even at low levels, recommend, but only just Bought it so still early days

Top niveau, rien à dire sauf que c'est un des meilleurs rapport qualité/prix que j'aie essayé depuis fort longtemps.

Update, 22 April 2024 Unfortunately, I have to come back with an update and say that the device is faulty, meaning it skips and does not read perfectly fine, original CDs that I have been playing on at least other three players and worked perfectly. Unfortunately, Yamaha did very bad with this model, keeping in mind that its predecessor, the CD-S300 is flawless. Long story short, I returned the device, thank you Amazon for your return policy. I am writing this review in order to express my joy in relation to the sound of the Yamaha CD player. In my humble opinion, it does not compare to that of other brands. All brands are good or very good, but Yamaha is something else. I am not going to say anything about the remote control, the color of the player, the commands, the buttons on its front panel, the analog and digital connections on its back or how far out goes its drawer when opened, because they are either a matter of preference or something that most if not all brands are equipped with. The other reason I chose to write the review is because I want to help some other customers who bought a similar device and, for some reason, bumped into some trouble with it and and moreover did not find the solution. My device plays without any issues original CDs bought on Amazon but, given that they were used, have several scratches on their reading surface. I repeat, the Yamaha CD-S303 plays them without any problem. Now, when I received it, it did not have on it the latest version of the firmware, namely 1.61. Consequently, it did not read SOME of my original CDs with copy control. Once I downloaded the latest firmware version, followed the instructions on how to download and installed it, my player reads without any issues ALL copy control CDs. I want to share with you a not so minor detail that you need to consider in order for the firmware update process to unfold and complete successfully. In my opinion, the information on Yamaha website in this respect was not clear enough and probably this is why a handful of people who tried to perform the update were not able to succeed and reached the conclusion that their device was faulty. The thing is this: after you download the update from Yamaha website, unzip it and save it on the USB flash drive you are about to insert into the player's USB port, please make sure you ONLY copy on the flash drive the actual file containing the update WITHOUT the folder containing it. More specifically, and I apologize to all computer aficionados here who by all means know what I am talking about, delete from the flash drive the folder containing the update file and KEEP on the flash drive the ACTUAL update FILE ONLY. At first, I did not do this and consequently the upgrade process was not able to complete (the "Upgrade" message continued to be displayed on my unit's display even after 22 minutes). Once I realized what I did wrong and then did it right, the upgrade process took less than 20 seconds (the timeframe Yamaha gives on their website) to complete. So it is all true that the device may need to be upgraded to the latest firmware version, depending on what version it is equipped with when you receive it. This way I am kindly asking the Yamaha people to be more specific on their website when explaining the steps one needs to take in order to successfully perform a process that proves to be a very important one since it solves a lot of issues because of which people may wrongfully think that Yamaha came up with a device that does not live up to the standards of the previous version (CD-S300). It would be a shame. To conclude, my Yamaha CD-S303 sounds excellent and is what I have been waiting for and expected: a very good device able to play my CDs without any issues and deliver an excellent musical sound.

Estupendo reproductor de CDs , tarda un poco en cargar el disco, pero en calidad de sonido me parece genial aunque la grabación proceda de analógica, y si es digital....puff se sale.
