A great automatic feeder, keeps my puppy occupied!
I have a highly energetic Labrador puppy, and I got this when he was 4 months old. I've been using it every day since then, and he's now 9 months old. This is just one of the many enrichment activities and exercises he gets each day, and it’s become an important part of how I feed him. To train him, I started by placing the button close to the dispenser and manually adding kibble to the tray each time I pressed it. He quickly caught on, so I then added kibble to the dispenser while keeping the button nearby. It took him about 10-15 minutes to get used to the sound of the rotating dispenser and understand that it meant something good was coming. That evening, I moved the button further away, and he figured it out - there's been no looking back since! The dispenser requires 4 C batteries, and the button needs 3 AAA batteries. While the button batteries last a long time, the dispenser batteries tend to die quickly if you use it daily. I bought 8 rechargeable batteries, and they've been working great so far. I recommend this feeder to anyone who's looking for an additional way of feeding along with exercise/enrichment for their dogs.

Great stimulation and exercise for your dog
We purchased this remote feeder for our miniature American shepherd puppy. This breed needs LOTS of exercise and continuous stimulation/job. This feeder is a wonderful addition to our collection of puzzles. Open the top and there is a barrel to hold the kibble. We feed 1 cup and it is about 3/4 full at 1 cup. Insert the barrel, turn the unit on and either plug in or have batteries inside. The remote button takes batteries also. It has two different sound cues so the dog knows that the remote was successfully pressed. You put the remote where you want it - it can hang by suction (we did not do this) or it can be placed on the floor. We started out with the remote next to the feeder. It took only two times of hitting the button for our pup to understand how it worked. When the button is pressed, there is a chime or tone and the barrel rotates, dropping some kibble in the tray. The opening on the barrel is adjustable. We started moving the feeder and button to different locations to add a challenge each feeding. Sometimes I create an obstacle course for our pup to go through to get to the button. I don't know about the exact transmission range, but we can put the button on the lower level and the feeder on the second floor or put the button at one end of the hall and the feeder in the opposite end of the next room, some 30 feet away and it works great. Our dog LOVES the feeder and loves the challenges we give him ever meal time. It takes about 30-35 minutes for our pup to eat from this feeder with our setup (pup is 6 months old). I highly recommend this feeder if you have a dog that needs a job and needs to be busy all the time and needs more exercise. Note: the first one we purchased would not connect. It was easily returned and the second one has worked like a charm for 2 months, 2x a day.

Great for treats or kibble!
I really like this product and so does our pup. We’ve used it for treats and for kibble.. He definitely prefers kibble. Pros - It keeps your pup busy. It’s pretty easy to figure out how to assemble and use. It can easily be adjusted to dispense different sizes and amounts. It isn't too loud and makes just enough noise for your pup to catch onto the sounds and know when it is dispensing. Works from a good distance if you want your pup to go a ways to get the treats. Cons- It doesn't come with a plug for a regular outlet so you will need your own. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it lined up right before it starts dispensing. It has stopped dispensing while it still contained treats. The button comes with a suction cup that didn't work great.. At least not on our hardwood floors. And if your dog is rough with it they can easily flip the button over and/or knock the top off of the machine.

Best purchase ever!
We have a cat that wants to bolt out the front door, so we have the button at the front door and the treat dispenser on the other side of the house. Hit the button and he runs to get the treats! We have used this multiple times a day since we purchased in 2023 and have had zero issues, even with power outages, wifi upgrades, etc. TEN STARS! LIFE SAVING PRODUCT!

Cool concep but the communication between the button and dispenser sucks
This little machine is SO fun! My dog gets really excited when I bring it out, but the build of it is lacking a bit. At first, everything worked fantastic, we had no issues for about 2 months. Then one day I heard the button sound get distorted I also noticed the dispenser wasn't responding to my dog's presses. I picked up the button and it was HOT. My dog was very frustrated too because the noise he was hearing that meant "RUN FOR TREATS!" was not providing him treats. I put the unit up for awhile, and replaced the batteries, just in case (although the same batteries worked perfectly fine in a remote we tried after) I have had the same temperature problems but there is still some times a communication issue between the button and machine. To solve this, I stay in ear shot of the button and sit by the machine so I can toss a treat in when the dispenser does not do its job. The unit is also incredible hard to clean due to some grooves. But dispite the hard to clean part, I would have given this product 5 stars if both parts communicated properly.

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. I was really excited for this product but it never kept a charge from the time I took it out of the package. We tried batteries and those didn’t work either (several different brands incase bc you know some batteries aren’t as good as others), we even left it plugged in and tried to use it that way and it would work twice and then power off it just never had enough power (and these were anker blocks and I even changed the chords to several different ones plus mind you we just had all the outlets/receptacles updated recently as well so there is no excuse for something $50+ to not work ever). I missed my return window of course by 2 days bc I kept trying different things to see if I could get it to work but I gave up. No offense to the seller but the product itself is definitely not worth the price.

Great product
My dog is at 80 pounds for the first time in a couple years ! My golden has been 85-95 pounds because he loves food but during the summer hates to walk ! I know exclusively feee him with this ! I fill up the ball with he’s 1 1/2 cups (can hold 2 and some )! I set it at the smallest setting allowing for only 1 or 3 pieces of kibble come out at a time and set the button out of eyes view because he will drag it closer if he can lol. It can take him an hour or more to eat a meal ! HE LOVES IT! He self regulates he will take brakes get water, sit down , then get back up and play some more. I’ve supplemented this with lock mats and freeze bones to add all the other nutrients I used to when feeding out of a regular bowl ! I’ll freeze or spread homemade chicken broth with liver treats, blueberries, egg, his glucosamine, yogurt, salmon oil, veggies etc. Leo’s used to eat his food in 2-3 minutes even with slow feeders maybe 5 min. Problem would be he would beg for food after eating or just look bored after meal time and now he’s never bored ! After eating he’s out for a good 2-3 hours I can feed him while I study, shower, leave the house, or am eating myself and no more begging. Not to mention he has lost weight despite eating more than before ! I have 2 of these one for downstairs and one upstairs !

Great enrichment activity!
Purchased this as a birthday present for my 2 year old Belgian Malinois. It basically trained her to use it itself, I just encouraged her to press the button at the start and she figured I put the rest within 5 minutes. It was super fast and easy to set up! DOES NOT COME WITH BATTERIES! You can choose to plug in the dispenser to the wall but you will need batteries for the button. When it was empty, she repeatedly pressed the button aggressively which popped out the batteries but it did not break. It has 2 different sounds you can choose from and isn’t super loud. It’s a good size for any dog. It can be a little finicky to disassemble for cleaning but it is not too difficult!

Very Happy
Works well, very happy puppy and owners. Batteries do t last long, but USB power works well.

Awesome enrichment toy! :)
Was it expensive? Yes. Is it the best enrichment toy we could have ever asked for? Also yes. My smart girl LOVES her "button" toy. :) We set up the button on one end of the hallway, she learned how to run to it, hit the button, then grab her food.

Dog loves it but dispenser gets stuck
Bought this product for stimulation for our Lab. He worked out how to use pretty quickly but get disappointed as after a few turns the dispenser starts making a loud clicking sound and doesn’t drop any food. Being food obsessed he then starts barking at the machine. Not sure what the issue is. Frustrating when they do the right thing for no reward. We end up having to give it a shake to get food to dispense. For cost you would think it would work longer than a few times before having an issue
