Q: does this mat work with Duplo blocks?

It can loosely fit Duplo sized bricks, however this is best suited for classic size bricks.

Q: Do these work with Lego duplos or mega bloks? Thanks!

The pegs on these plates are standard size. While this is not intended primarily for DUPLO size products, the larger bricks will affix to the plates. However, we sell lots of large size plates and sets that may be a better fit for you. Q: How transparent is it? I want to place these on top of a map or other artwork for custom base designs.

Pretty transparent but I would recommend having bold colors be the primary medium of your map.

Q: One review said they weren't flat underneath. So are you not able to glue these to a table to make a Lego table for kids?

This baseplate is stackable so it is not flat underneath. We have had many customers use for tables for kids. If you have any issues, please let us know.
