Forever Young Lady Captain Pirate Fancy Dress Costume + Hat

Doesn't look like the picture. Obscenely short (stops at top of bum,entire backside hangs out) without the petticoat which, despite pictured, is not included. Hat broken and floppy on one side and gorgeous red ribbon is actually tiny skinny string. But with the petticoat (extra £10) and a pair of leggings it looks quite cool and was only £20 so it will do the job. Size down if in doubt. I'm an 8-10 usually and carrying a few extra pounds at the mo. The 10 (actually Medium) was very big, easily fits a 12. The 8 was perfect (Small).

This outift is literally awful in terms of quality. My dress came with a huge grey suspicious stain down the front that looked like someone had spilt glue on the dress and just sold it anyway. Aswell as that, the dress itself is so cheaply made it looks shiny like polystyrene and feels like rubbing sandpaper on your skin. It isn't lined with anything underneath so the netted skirt and uneven, sticky-out seams rub your stomach, underarms and thighs. If you sit down it irritates the back of your legs and your bum too. I had to use a chiffron dress I already owned and throw that monstrosity away. It didn't even look good so there would be no reason to suffer the rash it caused.In terms of the jacket, i'm a size 10 with D cups and bought a medium so the jacket should have fit with plenty of space to spare. The corset wouldn't do up accross my rib cage (underboob section) nor my chest. The pink ribbon took ages to thread through all of the metal loops and then immediately broke two of the metal loops when i pulled the rest of the length through. This wasn't even when I was trying to tighten the dress over my boobs, which would never have happened. I had to remove all of the metal loops and sew a toggle on to keep the jacket sinched around my waist area. Even then it didn't look anything like the picture.It's a complete waste of money, keep looking.

Had to have a second one sent as buttons were coming off when it arrived. Second one had the same issue but I managed to spend about 40 minutes seeing them all on and none came off on the night! Looked good. Had lots of compliments. The seller was very quick to reposed and sent a replacement out which I received within days so well worth using. Quite small over the boobs. Go up a few sizes. I managed fine as the ribbon pulled it in and was fine but I am not particularly large chested! I’m about a size 8 but athletic and Arms fitted fine. Length was good. Very itchy lining in skirt. Use high waisted leggings or tights. I used leggings and also a boob tube top underneath and was ok. If you have time it may be worth just stitching a skirt liner in! Otherwise. Good. They just need to sort the button fixture. Ribbons to hold the loops to put the ribbon through Frays and is not suitable. (Except with stitching!)

Omg, I loved this outfit. It fits as expected. I bought it as a Halloween outfit as didn't want something too gory, and mainly as when I read the reviews they were very good. And now from my own experience they were very true. If anything it is more generous than too cosy. I am quite curvy and busty but it worked very well. Truly thought it wouldn't work/fit in a million years. The only negative was that when I opened the packet, the white dress part looked as though it had been packed next to the black velvet part or something, as it had a darkish mark over it. For Halloween it didn't matter, but if you did want it to be perfect. Watch out for this and order in enough time just in case.

I am between sizes 12 and 14. Ordered 14 and I was definitely comfortable. Perhaps could go for size 12 to be fair. Amazing little dress, the hat is little bit too big and loose, but otherwise the costume lasted me all day and night, nothing is damaged and I felt very comfortable. I bought a tutu skirt separately but it comes with one, however it's veeery short at the back, my cheeks were showing.Overall, worth the money and people were impressed!

This costume is awesome. I bought it for my sons pirate birthday party and got so many compliments.It’s easy to wear but a little bit scratchy so I would recommend something underneath if you can!Really chuffed with this! Can’t wait for another occasion to wear it!

The costume arrived with staining from the jacket, imprinted on the white dress, customer sericewere very good and sent me another dress but this one was also stained with black, the netting on the dress was so itchy that I wore my own white dress underneath, also the hat is so large and shallow it doesn't fit, I ended up adjusting it with black elastic. The price is very reasonable and it looked good on the night of party.

Loved is my favourite costume so far!I had an issue with the dress and chatting by email and send a photo, the organisation sent me another one!The hat is a bit big, but maybe I have a small head, About the size!! I am size 18 and the Xlarge fit me perfectly.I enjoy halloween as a happy pirate! Thank You Forever Younger team!!!
