I was looking for a back brace to support my lower back while walking. I am over weight, and needed the support to allow me to walk farther without pain. Day 1 I noticed it working. I was so impressed that I wore it for the rest of the day. The stretch is great, works sitting down and doesn't ride up. The perspiration wasn't that bad, and I never felt hot, and I live in Florida. It was 85 degrees out when I used it on my walk.I would highly recommend this for anyone with a belly who needs lower back support. All the other supports showed pictures of fitness models, this one showed real people, and that is one reason I chose this product.

I am a size 22 in dresses, with a 40 inch waist and 53 inch hip, and I usually wear a size 2x in most clothes. I had ordered a size up since the instructions said to do so if one is between sizes and when I ordered this I had a 56 inch hip, but the 3x (xxxl) was too large for me -- on the tightest setting it was still loose.I then ordered the 2x which works VERY well for me. I use it to rest my back after a workout because I have to carry heavy bags to my car right after I work out and this can strain my back. For a little while I was making the mistake of cinching it too tight- now I just pull it a LITTLE (like, half an inch or an inch) past where it would fall without stretching, and it supports my back wonderfully.Edit 8/29/2020: after 18 months of fairly regular use, it now requires a tighter cinch since the elastic is more stretched out, but it still works really well. I have run it through the washer a few times (taking the "bones" out and fastening the velcro so that it didn't tangle) and hung it to dry with no issue. I'm changing my review to a 5-star because I didn't expect this length of durability! Excellent product, would definitely purchase again.Also, I saw some complaints about it rolling or sliding off of hips -- if it rolls, you probably have it on too tight, or you need to take the "bones" (the stiff part in the middle of the back) out. On me it bends with my waist curve when I sit, but I took the bones out immediately because I know that will not work with a sharp waist/hip curve.It will slide up your hips over time but literally anything that is not custom-made will do that if you have wider hips than waist. It stays in place well if you are standing or walking. I make sure not to bend at the waist when I wear this unless I am prepared to adjust it immediately. Adjusting it is not difficult unless I'm wearing several layers on top.

Being that I ordered a 3x waist trainer from another seller with a different brand name and it was 2 sizes too small, I felt it would be best to order this one in a 4X. ((sigh.........)) ..............IT fits like a hula hoop around me/When I tried to work with it and close it it's hella loose. Lord it is waaaaaaay tooooo BIG, OMG will I EVER get it right, ugh! I just wanna break down in tears. This is nicely made however, it's just tooooo BIG!. Currently, I weigh 218 lbs and I'm 5'2 with a tummy that I am DESPARATELY trying to flatten/ When I ordered this almost 2 weeks ago, I weight 239 lbs before I started my apple cider, honey, and lemon diet/ I should have ordered a 2X in this brand. I mean no harm in saying this, but if you are about 330 pounds, a 4X of this product will be a perfect fit for you. I still have the other waist trainer and it still does fit yet lol. Gees louWeese

There's something of a catch-22 with this product. You have to try it out to see if it will alleviate the pain. But if you wear it and it doesn't work, it can't be returned. Would have appreciated having this notice on the description page. We wouldn't have purchased it.

I’ve worn it twice since it arrived yesterday, for a few hours at a time and it’s already bending in several places. I really can’t articulate just how wonky this thing is but it’s so bad that this is literally my very first time ever going out of my way to leave a review on an amazon purchase, good of bad. It felt great for the first hour that I tried it on, but today I wore it under my shirt and I readjusted it at least 4 times and it just kept bunching up in several places. The back part should be solid but it’s sevral overlapping panels. Again, it’s hard to explain but it absolutely sucks. Do not buy this, honestly. I really needed this to work, I’m in a lot of pain and it’s doing my absolutely no good.

The brace does not stay in place when I sit down. It rides up off of my hips. I would not recommend if you need to wear it around your hips. Also do not size up like others have recommended even if you are in the high end of the size range you will not be able to make the belt tight enough. The area to attach the velcro is not long enough.

I had hope that this was the brace to replace my heavy duty neoprene brace I’ve worn for more than 3 yrs. I thought I FINALLY found a breathable one that claimed ALL I needed in one. I’d not owned this one for 3 mos. & not more than once a week (need a spinal fusion/ sciatica surgeries). This one started pulling “fuzz balls” along all the edges, white so they had to be covered or removed repeatedly. Then the edges are shredded on straps & whole band width. My older one cost about $15-20 more & has/ will continue to be the most worn (3-5 days) every week.

Having a back injury and working as a nurse, I'm on my feet a lot. Prior to the back brace, my back could barely manage post shift activities. Now, wearing this during my shift makes me feel like I can double my steps and standing.Only negative is that the outer Velcro tends to grip and pull brace down. May get better with more practice, overall a very positive outcome for me.My naval measurement is a 58" and purchased 3xl, and brace was almost too big. Seems to be true to size will purchase again if need be.

We ordered too large of a size for hubby, he decided he no longer wanted the item so it was returned for full credit. Excellent company to deal with
