## Description

Ames' Blue Max is a special blend of adhesive, high strength elastomeric liquid rubber for waterproofing basements. It is a new, impenetrable, rubber technology for waterproofing in extreme wet situations such as below grade foundations, basement walls, and cisterns. It is high in solids and dries to a tough 800% elastic membrane that resists cracking and peeling. Blue max remains flexible in freezing temperatures. Ames' blue max is impervious to water when applied in a uniform and seamless fashion with adequate millage. It flows into cracks and crevices as a liquid and sets up as a durable rubber to seal leaks wherever they occur. Ames blue max is uv sensitive and must be top coated if exposed to sunlight. Ames' blue max is also an excellent coating for icf (insulated concrete forms), as well as metal, wood, concrete, and many other applications. The adhesive qualities in Ames' blue max actually glue surfaces together and strengthen wall construction. Ames' blue max outperforms isocyanate urethanes, and works well as a primer and waterproofing membrane for Ames' products. Ames' blue max must be top coated for uv protection in exterior applications.

My friend told me about this product for sealing out water that was leaking in on the steps. I figured why not try it so I painted it on all the seams that the doors were sitting on. Wasn't but a day or two it got a good drenching of rain. When I opened the inside dioor to the steps I was a surprise to see absolutely no water on the steps. Worked Great!! now for the last coat of paint and they will work and look like new. Easy to use, water cleanup and paintable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good roof primer!

This served as a primer for an elastomeric coating, over a weathered modified bitumen roof. It's important that you clean the surface first with a soft wash or light pressure wash to get rid of any accumulated gunk that may block adhesion. But once you've got a dry & clean surface, this stuff sticks like, well, glue. I laid down two coats several days apart. It dried / cured fairly quickly, so I was able to walk on it after 24 hours (after each coat). Rain doesn't seem to hurt it after it's had a few hours of initial cure time. Just get it good and dry before re-coating. I'm now finish coating it with AMES Elastomeric white roof coating, with good results so far.
