Review: Best tremolo bridge for the money. - Yes, it doesn’t come with a locking nut. If you want one with the nut included you’ll actually have to read the listing and look at the pictures. That’s why it’s cheaper. This gives you the option as a builder to choose any width, color, or style of FR nut you like, or to save forty bucks if your guitar already has one, like mine did. That said, this is such a good tremolo unit I have no need or interest in spending any more. The $20 licensed bridges are surprisingly high quality, but the trem arm is always wobbly on them, whereas on these Specials you get a snug fit so the tremolo is nice and smooth.

Yes, it doesn’t come with a locking nut. If you want one with the nut included you’ll actually have to read the listing and look at the pictures. That’s why it’s cheaper. That said, this is such a good tremolo unit I have no need or interest in spending any more. Nut is not included and it's because they offer different colors of this bridge and it's too much of a cost to make a matching nut. Most players I know stick with chrome or black. For the money, this is a great system. Many steps above the cheaper $20-$30 versions. If you got the $80, it's worth it. For an extra $8, you'll have to buy a matching chrome/black nut separately. Good luck finding the off colors. The cheap nuts work fine - just make sure to drill a tiny bit underneath each locking nut hole in the neck. The extra length will keep the screw from stripping when tightening.
