Mahogany Smoked Meats: Peppered Beef Jerky - 16oz

The western jerky was very moist and sticky, unlike what the description said at the time. The insert inside raved about their customer service and guaranteed satisfaction, money back if you don't like it. I sent them a message that I wanted to exchange it for a dryer jerky. I didn't ever hear a peep back from them so the guarantee is garbage. We ended up throwing it in the freezer, and just a little tip, if you have the same experience as us, freezing it for a few days helps with the wet stickiness of this jerky. It ended up being okay, but we will not order it again. Minus 1 star for jerky not meeting the description, minus 1 star for never returning my communication, and minus 1 star for guaranteeing great customer service. I wish they had contacted us to make it right but we will keep looking for both better jerky and customer service.

Tastes like old fashioned dry peppered jerky. If you like jerky covered in crushed pepper, this is what you want.Remember "Old Fashioned" means DRY - it isn't the stuff in stores that's basically flattened & smoked sausage.I haven't heard of pineapple being an old ingredient, but it does seem a healthier choice than brown sugar which is what older recipes used in small quantities to counter the salt, not to sweeten or flavor it. Plus pineapple juice can tenderize too. It isn't sweet and doesn't taste like pineapple so I'm assuming that's what it was for. :)

This is NOT chopped, pressed and formed garbage! Its the real deal !! Almost all the good the jerky is gone- got too expensive I suppose. Now, most of the Jerky one finds in the stores is chopped, pressed and formed then cut- with loads of chemicals too... Garbage! I would be surprised if it was all made by 1 or 2 food factories - but packaged under different labels.Not this brand - and its excellent! My only complaint is that they cannot keep it in stock- constantly "sold out" - but worth the wait!!

This batch was super dry and gross. I contacted seller for a refund and never heard back. I order their sweet and spicy all the time and it is really moist and good but this was terrible.

This jerkey arrived quickly and was very fresh and the taste was amazing. If your like peppered jerkey this will not disappointment!

WOW! I was so excited to see this finally came in the mail after buying a terrible batch of jerky elsewhere. Texture 5/5. It's got the homemade jerky texture you want, not that rubbery, chewy gum you buy elsewhere. Taste, 5/5 YES. I am so happy to finally say, I finally found jerky I can continually buy. I LOVE THIS JERKY

I like this so much i'm going to buy 4 bags next...

2 of the bags were not sealed compleatly so $78 for possible food poisoning
