I live in a house with a small yard and wasn't keen on leaving compost outside- I don't have a cat anymore and really didn't want to attract rodents or pests. This system creates a pre-compost that you then bury outside, and it breaks down. By the time it's buried, it's too acidic for pests to eat. I also love the fermented tea that collects at the bottom of the bucket. I've been using it in my plants, and they are going nuts. I also really like that it's a small business. 10/10 would recommend!! I'm forwarding the link to my friends, too. The very first thing we put in the bucket was a bag of brussel sprouts that had gone bad. I thought for sure it would reek. You can't smell a thing with the lid on, and even when you take the lid off, it's pretty tolerable. It's a little on the expensive side, but again, it's a small business, and I think with the amount I'll save in trash bags and garden soil, it'll pay for itself in the end.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect composting solution for when it's winter in cold climates!

I've been using this Bokashi composting system since January, and I'm really happy with it! The container doesn't leak, it fits lots of scraps, and the compost tea it produces is great for my houseplants. (Just make sure to dilute it LOTS- like 1 teaspoon of compost tea per 1/2-1 gallon of water works. I didn't dilute it sufficiently once and burned some plants.) No bad smells when the container is closed, and the Bokashi bran should be enough to last me quite a number of bucket fills. I only use about 1 tablespoon of the bran per 1" layer of compost scraps, and that seems sufficient. I ended up buying a second Bokashi bucket so I can keep composting while I let the filled bucket have it's required 2 week rest. I can't really compost outside during the winter and compost tumblers tend to attract the mice here, so this is the perfect solution!
