Comical Heartbreak- Save your money!
The umbrella is beautiful, and my son was so excited when it arrived. Unfortunately, the first day we used it the umbrella broke! Literally fell apart! One of the spokes came undone and separated from the umbrella and the center pole broke in half! It was almost comical; like something you see in the movies. Don't waste your money! I have not reached out to the company because I figure it will be too much of a hassle and they won't do anything anyway. Save yourself the heartache of a child who loved the umbrella only to see it fall apart on its first use!

Great for a costume and multi function too as a real umbrella!
We just purchased it so I do not know how durable it will be in the long run. But it was a huge hit as my 3 year old son used it as part of his dragon costume for a fairytale event. Everyone loved it and my son could easily hold it for the two hour event because of the great design, sword shaped handle, and light weight construction.It is also very easy to open and close without sharp pieces which is perfect for little hands. We now can't wait for it to rain to try it in bad weather.

How Cool for Early Elementary School Aged Boys!
My almost 6 year old twin boys were SO HAPPY to get this for Christmas. I think it was their favorite item, and they got alot of cool stuff for Christmas. Was an update from their toddler froggy ones, and something they love without some Superhero or Mario character on it. Honestly, I think they appreciated the break from those characters also. How cool is an umbrella sword with a giant fire breathing dragon on it? Its a bit heavy, but at 6 they can handle it, and that means it is likely more durable then the froggy ones, which did start to break after 4 years of use. Now I need new rain coats to match the theme, as the Melissa and Doug froggy raincoats are for ages 2-5 anyway, and are getting kinda small now.

Strong & Sturdy
My son loves this! Sturdy and well made. It is durable and portable. We love the sword handle! It's big enough that I, myself, could use it as an umbrella as well. The only thing is that you'll need to break it in quite a bit for a young child to use with ease. It's new and stiff; fingers are easily pinched this way. Ultimately, this is our favorite umbrella we have purchased.

Perfect for dragon lover but won't last more than one season
My 3 year old loves dragons and love, love, loves this umbrella. the wings extend out giving it a 3D effect captured all his friends attention. He also loves that the handle is made like a sword. It's not the sturdiest umbrella (the handle feels like it may come off) and I don't expect it to last more than one season but by next year I'm sure he'll want a new umbrella to match the rainboots he will soon grow out off anyway.

Super sturdy, super cute! My son adores his umbrella and as I live on the north coast it is very useful! It’s super sturdy, which all kids umbrellas need and it is a wonderful design that gets kids talking.

He loved it! I love it too
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He loved it! I love it too. It was raining on day and I had no choice but to take this to one of my college classes with me and everyone there loved it as well. It's very well made and has stood up to my 5 year old messing around with it more than he should so far.

Super Cool, but Heavy
I'm jealous of this umbrella, which I bought for my son. Sword handle, dragon art with horns and wings... it's very cool. My son loves it, as well.The big problem I've encountered (and it's what dropped the rating so much) is that it's heavy; it doesn't take long for my son's arm to get tired of carrying it, which sort of hurts its practical use.

Fun umbrella for infants
This is a great brolly that has lasted well in the relentless Manchester rain. Having a sword handle is a massive selling point as it means your child is more willing to carry this even when folded (rather than expecting you to carry it for them). It's the right size for an infant which is perfect considering the dragon design. Once your child is too old for the design (probably once they're about 10) they will likely need a slightly larger umbrella anyway!

fantastic umbrella
i just received in the post today. this umbrella is amazing. i bought it for my 6 year old son and he is delighted with it. it looks just as good as the picture; the ears and wings stick right up and the handle is great, its just like the handle of a sword. its a proper umbrella for little boys. we are looking forward to the rain. thanks amazon for a great product and for making my son a very happy little boy.

Brightens up a rainy walk to school
This umbrella is currently the best thing since sliced bread in our house. I bought it for my nearly 5 year old son as the April showers were getting a bit much. The quality is great and button action is easy for him to operate by himself. I was pleasantly surprised that the wings and ears have little metal 'bones' in them to keep them upright and looking like a dragon. The reverse has small pictures of a shield, a castle and a knight on a horse. The handle is such fun as it's designed to look like a sword.My son ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. The walk to school will never be dull again as he role plays with it whether it's raining or not (it becomes a shield when it's not raining).This is a superb gift or surprise for a little boy with a great imagination.

great brolly for a great price
i wasn't sure what to expect from this, but for the price i thought to hell with it and bought it as a gift for a friend as she loves dragons. i am really impressed with the quality! the ears stand up with wire and the handle is really cool, plus it's not flimsy at all and it's a good size. I definately recommend this product to others.
