JanomeAcuFeed Ditch Quilting Foot

The foot works, but the ditch blade was not attached to the foot, and while I could lay it on the pins, there was nothing to hold it on, and it popped off, about half-way down my seam. NOT a happy camper!

I was hoping it would open the seam a bit more to keep the stitching in the ditch. Even with the foot tension at its peak it still has some movement. But it is more accurate than using my regular Accufeed quilt foot.

This didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I love my Janome sewing machine BTW! This foot is supposed to help with quilting 'in the ditch', or along a seam line. I found that the black guide actually made it more difficult to see the seam, and ended up off-seam quite a bit. When I switched the foot for an open-toe walking foot, it worked much better.

I haven't used this yet but as soon as my next quilt is ready for the binding I will be using this foot and look forward to having it make attaching binding easier.

If you're looking for a great way to baste a quilt in the ditch then look no further! I found this foot very easy to use! I did have to adjust my needle a bit, but once I figured that out it was a pretty quick job to do my queen sized quilt! I'm not sure how often I'll pull this out, but it allowed for way more accuracy than just using a regular foot.

I have a janome horizon 7700 and this attachment is a little wider than the walking foot that came with my machine, but it fits fine and I absolutely love it. Makes sticking in the ditch so much easier and accurate!!

The Janome stuff always plugs in or attaches and does exactly as advertised. We have a business and use 1 of 3 Janome machines all the time. They work, stitch fast and have tons of accessories. Amazon gets them to your door in awesome fashion.
