I was super excited for these to arrive. I’m a new contact user and I’ve been having difficulties inserting and removing my contacts. I had high hopes that these would help me. I was sadly mistaken. I’ve used these about 5 times and have given up on them all together. The ends are too flimsy and from my experience my contacts come off the applicator when inserting and when trying to remove my contacts the ends were too flimsy to get a good grasp on the contact to take out. It caused more headaches and frustration and I ended up staying with the old style of finger insertion and removal.

The suction power of these optiwands was not very good at all. I have never once been able to successfully remove a contact with them and have given up on them completely.

I am new to contact lenses. No matter what I did I could not get the lens to transfer from my finger to my eye. The lens would turn inside out and stick to my finger every time. This tool is just what i needed. Set the lens on it touch the contact lens to your eye and twist the tool back and forth a couple of times and your done. Works every time for me and I am happy. removal is even easier. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

These were the absolute answer for getting my contacts in. Lowered my average time to get in my contacts from 15 minutes to 1-2 tries per eye. Prevents the lense from folding if there is minor contact with the eyelash and twisting gets the lens onto my eye far more consistently than I could ever with my finger.On the flip side I could not get them to work for removal but luckily thats not my issue so they were still a game changer. Maybe they can remove with practice but it just seems worse in every way. So im giving 4 stars because while its a game changer for putting them in they are advertised as removal tools as well and I would be dissappointed if I bought this for that purpose.

This tool works wonder to insert the contacts, however I had hard time like the other reviews almost scratching my eyes trying to get contacts out by using this tool. After two unsuccessful tries I decided to abandon the effort because I’m a pretty handy person if I could not figure it’s the tool to blame. At the meantime I used finger cots when dry to remove contacts it was so easy to remove.
