Was not my cup of tea but could very well work for you. Has several sounds and the volume goes rather high, with the option of a lower softer volume which may work great for babies and kids who need to nap or the elderly, the timer is convenient if you need that sort of thing. It didn't work for me as in I wasn't able to sleep without hearing environmental noises, but it could be the answer to your better sleep and therefore better living. I'd recommend it for someone who doesn't have super defined hearing (because of environmental noise I can hear over it) or somewhere like a doctors office, great for background noise or a privacy buffer for people speaking at moderate levels and volumes.

I have been using sound machine for over 3 years. Recently purchased another as a gift. This unit travels with me everywhere I go. Compact size fits easily into my travel backpack. Battery holds a charge that is perfect for those hotel rooms that don't have enough outlets. Plus loads of sound options. I also like the lock switch that prevents accidental turn on during travels.
