It really works
First off let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 32 yr old male, 160 lbs, 5'8, that doesn't exercise. In May, I decided I'm at that age where I should get an annual physical with blood work. This would be my first ever lipid panel . I assumed, that my cholesterol level was ok, because I always had trouble gaining weight even though I could eat. So when I got my results back I was shocked to find out that my levels were a little high at 259, everything else wasn't bad. So the doc told me regular exercise and diet and come back in 6 months. So knowing me there was no exercise, but I did watch what I eat. There were no more Family size cheez its in one sitting, there were not 5 BK Whoopers in a day, and I no longer could eat the fat off the steak. So I came back in October and got retested. My cholesterol went down to 240, but my Triglycerides went up to 850ish. The doctor was stunned. I blame it on being on steroids for bronchitis two weeks prior. So was told again diet and exercise and retest in a month. So again NO EXERCISE. But now I decided let's give Cholest Off a try so I bought some, tweaked my diet a bit. This time I ate oatmeal regularly and drank less alcohol. I made it so I only drank on the Odd days of the month, holidays, and anytime I went out to eat LoL. There were days when I really craved for a beer , so I waited till midnight to drink. Anyway I retested on December 23rd and the 24th my results were great my cholesterol is at 190 and my Triglycerides are still high at 209, but what a difference in about month. My wife was amazed, because she thought I wasted 24 bucks on a placebo.

Cholest-off - Dietary, meaning it reduces from foods you eat
This is a 'dietary' cholesterol lowering product meaning it ONLY reduces cholesterol in foods that you eat. IF you eat a diet high in dairy, meat etc. then I assume this product can be helpful. BUT your body also makes cholesterol and many people have high levels genetically (like me), not from the foods they eat. My diet is very constricted and I don't eat red meats and very little dairy, nor do I use butter, oil etc. so I'm not sure how well this supplement will do in lowering bad cholesterol for me at all. I'm sure there might be some fractional lowering, but it's doubtful it will be very effective. I'm also statin intolerant. I will continue to use this, however. I'm not able to swallow such large tablets so I've been crushing them then stirring in water. There is very little flavor, just a kind of chalk-like taste so it's tolerable.

It works.
I stopped taking statin drugs because they were interfering with my memory and my cholesterol shot up to over 200. I read a book called "Cholesterol Down" which recommends this product. The product itself directs the user to take only 4 caplets a day, whereas "Cholesterol Down" advises six a day. I took six a day for six weeks and my cholesterol dropped about 50 points. I now take four a day. Please remember that cholesterol provides many more positive than negative functions in the body. Patients need to know their levels of c-reactive protein, which is perhaps a bigger indicator than cholesterol levels of trouble down the road. If I'm not mistaken (and if I am, someone here will certainly correct me), cholesterol acts as a patch to areas of the arteries that become inflamed. High levels of c-reactive protein are one of the causes of that inflammation, and one of cholesterol's jobs is to rush to the trouble spot and patch things up. However, the more the inflammation continues, the more cholesterol builds up, and then you've got big trouble.I experienced no side effects (I lost some weight but I'm not sure there's a direct connection). But check with your doctor and find out what your CRP level is. I've had doctors tell me a cholesterol level of 250 is no big deal so long as the CRP is where it should be.

Awesome Product!!!
I wanted to share my wife's experience regarding Cholest Off. She began taking it on 10/8/09 for a total cholesterol of 257, LDL of 174, triglycerides of 87, and HDL of 65. She is 119-lb., 33 year-old who is active, nonsmoker, no alcohol, no fast food, no soda, no high fructose corn syrup, no fatty meats, you get the idea...a health nut or so we thought. Her doctor reassured us her cholesterol was heredity but entertained the idea of my wife lowering it herself. She expressed her concern about prescription cholesterol medications and the potentially dangerous side effects, especially the statins, but lamented about not being able to exercise. She is a RN and sees the the devastation high cholesterol can cause so as she put it, "I have plenty of motivation." She had surgery on 10/2/09 and was instructed by her surgeon to remain on light duty and no physical exertion until 11/15/09, so I bought her Cholest Off because she would not be able to employ the cardio needed to reduce her cholesterol. She modified her diet and incorporated more vegetarian meals in addition to taking Cholest Off per the manufacturer instructions. On 11/2/09, she had her cholesterol checked again with a pleasant surprise. Her total cholesterol is now 173, her HDL is 72, triglycerides are 64, and her LDL is 88. I believe these results warrant a five star rating for Cholest Off.

Good product!
I've got Excel records of my cholesterol going back 17 years now. I started taking Cholest Off when I hit a maximum of 236 in April 06....usually it was around 200. The main reason for the high number I'm guessing is that I had put on a good 15 extra pounds. My LDL was 168, HDL 42 and Triglycerides 128. In addition to the Cholest Off, I took off the extra pounds. In May this year: Cholesterol 187, LDL 126, HDL 50 and Triglycerides 46. I've been on an extremely low cholesterol diet and aerobics for all of the 17 years after having hit just under 300 cholesterol. In all 17 years, my Cholesterol, LDL and Triglycerides have never been lower than in May this year. Another user said his triglycerides went up after taking Cholest-Off so I guess if you use this product, the best thing is to keep track of what happens. It may do you good.....or it may not. I'm going to keep taking it. Oh yes, I only intake cholesterol food at my evening meal. I take two Cholest-Off tablets 15-30 minutes before. That's the only time I take the tablets.
