Nit Free Head Lice Detangling Spray (Peppermint - 16oz)

this really is the best product of its kind that I've ever used... and I've used a LOT of them. the school my kids go to has such a bad lice problem that I used to have to check their hair every day when they got home & there was rarely a day when they hadn't brought home at least a few hitchhikers. the chemical stuff works okay, but obvi, chemicals aren't something you want to use on children, especially not daily. tea tree oil worked well to kill the lil nasties, but then daily checks still had to be done. not to mention the combing out of hair (we all have hair to, or past, our waists). and with the tea tree, there was that lingering medicinal smell that's nice at first, but gets really old. there was another spray that I dont recall the name of... & although it was natural and worked really well... it smelled like black licorice (yuck). I just ordered a second bottle of this because the first worked so well. sprayed it on when I did braids or a ponytail in the morning, sent the kid to school & did a check afterwards. No little buddies hitched a ride home. even when I forgot to use as detangler & only sprayed it over the outer layer of the braid. AND the peppermint-y scent is really pleasant imo & also very light. within an hour, there's no lingering smell. if you're dealing with this nasty problem -trust me- you want this spray. I haven't had to spray down furniture & stuffed animals, compulsively wash bedding/hats/brushes/etc, or use a nit comb in over two years (& only half of that time can be credited to covid life lol)

Can not recommend this highly enough!!!!! My daughter has VERY curly hair and I use this every morning before I brush it out with a detangling brush. Works perfectly and her hair looks SO much less frizzy all day. PLUS, she is armed for school against lice as a double bonus! We have survived many rounds of classroom lice with no incidents, so I am guessing this stuff actually works. You can not smell anything but a nice clean peppermint smell either! SO much better than dumping chemicals on her sweet head and safe to use every day.

I do not know if this really keeps head lice from taking residence in my childs hair. Unfortunately, I have discovered that Schools and Daycares DO NOT alert parents when another child does become infested. Bad for business, albeit a despicable practice. I have only had to deal with my child getting lice one time, at daycare. For what it's worth, we have not had to deal with any infestations since beginning use of this in conjunction with the "Nit Free Shampoo and Lice Repellent". All that said, the ingredients are pretty well documented as having repelling properties. It does work pretty well as a detangler if you use a generous amount. I have used one product which is a superior detangler, but does not offer repellant properties. It also does not leave an unpleasant odor like some other products in it's class.

My daughter got live at school and has extremely thick hair which is how we found this, this is probably the best detangling spray we have ever tried.

We use this every morning before school, the Amazon price is comparable or less than from the local shop. It smells light and pepperminty - not to strong at all. Also detangles quite well. I'm not sure if we've avoided lice because of this product or because we've taught the kids not to share brushes, hats, rub heads etc. but we will continue to use it!

After a go around with lice last year we use this religiously on my daughter’s curly fine hair. It really help with detangling and has kept lice away when others around her have had it. Highly recommend

This product is a large 16 ounce size. It smells great and the peppermint smell does not linger very long. It doesn't seem to be much of a detangler, just a mint spray. If I need to buy this again, I will purchase the mint spray and not the detangler.
