The Razer DeathAdder V2 X HyperSpeed is a really comfortable and reliable mouse. The ergonomic shape feels very natural in the hand, making it comfortable even during long hours of use. It comes with dedicated DPI control and side buttons, which are useful for both gaming and everyday tasks. The wireless connection has been stable, and I like that it supports both AA and AAA batteries, giving flexibility depending on your preference. With an AA battery installed, the mouse does feel a little heavier, but it also gives it a more solid and premium feel. The build quality is excellent, and it feels like a mouse that can easily last for years. It doesn't have RGB lighting, but that isn't a drawback for me as I prefer a clean and practical design. I have been using this for a good few months now, almost a year, and I can confidentially say that this mouse has exceeded all of my expectations. Due to the price, I thought it wouldn't last me this long and I'd come across some problems but no! The battery life is amazing, it lasts me around a month and I use it pretty much for 60% of the day, everyday. It advertises as 235 hours, but it feels like much longer than that! It just keeps going, and I have barely had to think about swapping batteries. It's super comfortable to use and sits naturally in my hand without any awkward strains. The performance is smooth and responsive both over Bluetooth and plug in connection and there is no noticeable input lag and has definitely helped with my gaming sessions. The buttons feel solid and precise, and the whole mouse just feels well built without being overly heavy. Highly recommend!

I picked this up for £34.99 and well being the first wireless mouse I’ve bought for gaming it’s been amazing. I call it a budget gaming mouse because some can run double to triple the price this one is at and after scoping I opted for this. after owning it for a good while it’s time to give my honest thoughts around the product. Battery life is amazing and I was ultimately surprised giving that I thought I’d be changing them every other day but normally on a AA I get around a weeks usage. Grip fits perfectly in my hands but not everyone has the same hand size but it’s just like the Goldilocks effect it’s just right for me. Sensor is perfect never had a flare up for tracking and tested on multiple surfaces. Glide now I mention this as pairing it up with razors own sphex mouse mat I will be swapping this soon as it sounds more like a scraping action on this type of surface which yes if you are gaming with headphones on you don’t hear but causal browsing it can be rather annoying. I’d also probably look at switching the pads out on the bottom for glass slides to be more reliable as these have been perfect for me in the past and I think would make this mouse even better.

I've used computers since 1984, and used almost every pointing device yIou can think of. I've also used many of Razer's products. I had a boomslang, then a lachesis.. I've got a Basilisk V3 on my main PC, and now I've got the Deathadder V2 X on my laptop. All of my computers have Linux on them, and I use them extensively for gaming. I was originally using a Logitech Triathlon on this, and really liked it, but the mouse was a little small of my hands. I dug out an older Logitech, but it was a bit too heavy for a portable mouse, so I went hunting for a good new mouse. I've always been a fan of the Logitech mice, except for that brief period where Microsoft made good mice. But when Razer started making their peripherals I jumped into their ecosystem for a while. I used their headsets, keyboards and mice for a decade. But then I started having issues with their drivers, and found that the Logitech kit was starting to overtake the Razer in build quality and driver stability. Recently, though, I had the chance to play with some Razer kit and was impressed by the lighter gaming mice, especially the higher end mice. I almost went for an MMO mouse, but I don't play that many MMOs, and I'm pretty handy with a keyboard, so I did a huge amount of research and ended up with the Deathadder. t does have the hyperspeed thing, but it's also very good under bluetooth (which is how I use it). Razer's hyperspeed dongles are a bit hit and miss. When returning from standby you have to unplug and then re-plug them to get them working again... So I wanted to just use it under Bluetooth. Happily, it connected up immediately, and has a really solid connection. Even used across the room, the signal is strong and it works well. Weight-wise it's pretty much spot-on. Light, but with enough weight to keep itself from sliding about on a slippery surface unnecessarily. The buttons are very positive, and the DPI switches are convenient but not obtrusive. I've only needed to change the battery once, which was after about 200-or-so hours of use, so the battery estimate is pretty much spot on. Style-wise, it's Razer, so it's gonna look great. But I really do like the plastic they use. although it's light, it's sturdy, and better yet it's not that rubbery stuff that other manufacturers use that ends up getting slimy under your fingers, and then becomes sticky (Logitech, I'm looking at you!). I'm really impressed with this mouse. It does exactly what it's supposed to, and works really well under Bluetooth. The Hyperspeed might work well under Windows, but why have yet another dongle hanging out of the laptop? Unfortunately Razer haven't seemed to have figured out how to have a single hyperspeed dongle serve multiple devices, so my hyperspeed headphones need one dongle, while the mouse would need another, and a keyboard would need a third, taking up all the USB ports. Useless! I put up with the dongle for the headphones because Bluetooth is a bit sucky for good quality audio, but the mouse stays on Bluetooth where it works flawlessly.

I have tried many different mice over the years from some other leading brands, for the price this is absolutely worth the purchase. Pros: It's plug-and-play, has Bluetooth and 2.4. You can use either an AA or AAA, absolutely LOVE this feature. Scroll wheel has a nicer rubber feeling, not overly grippy and textured. Nice and wide 'clickers' Mouse is very easy to open to clean/battery change. Overall good build qaulity. Cons: One 'potential' issue you could run into is the DPI settings are on the top left of the left mouse clicker, i have bumped the 'higher DPI' button many times on the side of my keyboard during the wrong moments whilst gaming, can cause alot of frustration. My mouse is very close to my keyboard due to size limitations, though. Overall, not a big problem but I can see this potentially annoying someone. Lack of Mousebind buttons; this is not the mouse for you if you use those.

Why did you choose this product over others?: After my original deathadder chroma from about 10 years ago was on it's final legs I decided to get this one. It's a very familiar shape and weight and feels nice without a physical wire. The sensor is excellent and accurate, and I've experienced no drop outs. The single AA battery lasted between 5-6 weeks. Considering I use my pc several hours a day, I'm very impressed. I like that it has a setting to automatically turn off to preserve battery after inactivity. I've set mine to do that at 3 minutes. The mouse wakes up almost instantaneously upon a movement or click. The only thing that didn't quite suit me was compared to my old deathadder chroma, this mouse doesn't have those gripy side panels to stop it slipping in your hand. I decided to buy some after market grip stickers to put on the side and it feels perfect now.

Lovely to use, great shape and size. Had to send back. Using the 2.4ghz dongle the mouse kept doing random things like spinning me around 180 or scrolling the mouse wheel. I tried two different mouse’s and had the same issue with both. My friend has one and his is fine so who knows.

this mouse is so nice is feels smooth and has improved my gaming for sure ,it has ptfe feet and connects to the dongle and over bluetooth

I needed a new mouse because on my old one the scroll wheel broke and now i bought this one. Its amazing. Long battery life and amazing response time, Also the customizing is really nice. You can change the dpi and what the buttons do via the software. I love it
