MatferBourgeat Classic Chef+ Frying Pan, Round, Nonstick, 12 5/8"

Great weight (heavy), the nonstick is amazing! Much better heat distribution than any other brand I have used, butter melts evenly throughout and no hot spots. The handle is extra large so if you have small hands, bear that in mind. I would highly recommend, beautiful pan, made in France. Amazon did ship it loose in a box that came damaged (handle broke through surface of box) but since the pan is bulletproof it had no issues.

Loving these pans, they cook well, clean-up is a breeze (simple rinse with soap and hot water) a high-quality build, great balance for tossing, and do great in the oven. We purchased multiple sizes and expect these to hold up for many years. As with any non-stick pan, make sure to keep the metal utensils away from them.

After a couple of weeks of using this frying pan, I thought this was a real find. Heats up quickly, the non-stick surface works wonderfully on items like scallops,fish and eggs. But then I tried searing a 'tomahawk' steak on it. Normally, l would have pulled out my trusty cast iron skillet but for whatever reason, I though this would be a good test of the pan. Unfortunately, true to the steak's name, the sharp-ended bone sliced through the non-stick coating as if it were indeed an axe. Perhaps the non-stick surface couldn't (or shouldn't) handle extremely high heat. Or, perhaps it was just a defective pan but I ended up with a damaged skillet. When I contacted the seller, who is based in France, I was told: "It has been used and for this reason, it can not be returned according to Amazon's policies." So as the French saying goes: "C'est la vie". Just one last thing, I was looking for a replacement for my All-clad non-stick frying pan which had survived nearly a decade of use and abuse without ever suffering this kind of damage.

Amazing frying pan. The non stick is awesome. Cleans very easily as well.
