CrossTownsend 2020 Year of the Rat Special Edition Translucent Blue Lacquer w/ 23KT Gold Plated Inlays and Appointments Medium Nib Fountain Pen

I got this as a gift for my sister... So I can't review its writing qualities, but I did cheekily take it out to inspect it. The design is just gorgeous, and it's so tactile I think you will just hold it and feel it even when not writing with it! Plus.... That IS real gold. I surreptitiously took a rubbing in an obscure place for a gold test (Im a watch and Pen person so i have things like that laying about!) maybe rose or 9ct...i believe they claim 9ct anyway, can't remember... But it's richly decorated with a wonderful design. You won't be disappointed. (ps I got this as Cross are a rare manufacturer that make purple refills for roller balls.... But look out for price gougers who will charge £10 for a single refill. £2.50 to MAYBE £3.50 is the real price. Cross wont help you. For such a famous company, they seem to do all their selling exclusively through shops, dealers and Amazon etc. Just a heads up. Truly goegeous pen though. Don't let me put you off. Its a stunner!

I like the presentation but even more the feel of the pen for writing. Fits very comfortably in my fingers to write.

This is a beautiful pen, the red lacquer and gold are a fantastic combination. The build quality is excellent, the pen comes with a very useful pen stand, and in a nice presentation box. This would make for a really nice gift! The medium nib is smooth and writes well, ink flow is excellent.The pen really stands out sitting on my desk. Very happy with my purchase.

The pen received with a very poor package i.e. non-Cross package.The pen also did not have the warrantee certificate.Accordingly, I am not sure if the pen is genuine or not.
