Every car needs a dash cam
I’m a Vegas Rideshare driver. It gets tight on the strip. On the off chance you get hit, you NEED video proof cuz people lie. It’s bluetooth / WI-FI so if someone rips it off your dash, you’ll still have the cloud loaded video. For Wi-Fi capability You WILL need a service in your car. If you don’t have Wi-Fi you have to get a 20g card from t-mobile (the only compatible service) using the plug it card adapter. I’m in my car 8 - 10 hours five days a week and have yet to incur additional fees for service. This super easy to install. It took me 30ish minutes. In this litigious society, If you own a car you MUST have a dash cam. In my business, I’ve gone through a lot of cams and in my opinion, this one is the best. Drive safe!

Unlucky draw?
I was recommended this camera by a Best Buy associate when I went to get a dash cam installed in my new car. He told me that this camera, or at least BlackVue specifically, was far better than any available in store. So I took a picture of the one he recommended and ordered it when I got home. After getting the camera, I took it to get it installed. Instantly we had some issues after it got installed. First off, we noticed that no se card other than an 8gb thinkware sd card worked on the dash cam. Every other sd card would get a “no sd card” response from the dash cam. So I was told to try ordering a different one online, even better if it was from BlackVue themselves. So I left the store and went on to try more than 12 different sd card of different sizes and read speed and NONE of them worked. Additionally, the dash cam would not work half the time. 50% of the time, the dash cam wouldn’t turn on when my car did. The other half, it would turn on but then say “powering down”. I took it back to get fixed, but they couldn’t fix the issue. So the conclusion? I was told that it may just be a faulty product that was shipped since BlackVue normally doesn’t give issues. I was told to return it and when a new one came they would reinstall it for free. I chose to return it, but also chose to get it replaced by a thinkware dash cam. So far this other dashcam is working perfectly fine and accepts my 128 gb Sandusky high endurance sd card made specifically for devices like Dash cams. Was it maybe just bad luck and I got sent a faulty dash cam? Maybe. But I wasn’t willing to wait another week or more for it to get returned and a new one sent.

Short Lifespan
Worked well for 3 years, then the heat burned it out and it's no longer functional. Over a months time, tried to fix with 5 different SD cards, firmware updates, and disconnecting / reconnecting cameras and other power supplies. Nothing worked so have verified that this is unfixable now. Very unfortunate short lifespan especially for the cost.

Excellent dashcam that covers all angles.
I've owned several Blackvue dashcams now. This one is by far my favorite so far. I love the three camera setup. Front, back, and inside my truck. Anything happens and it's caught on video. I don't really use the cloud stuff but I did add my own 128GB SD card. I have it hardwired into their power magic pro to prevent battery drain. So it's pretty much recording 24/7, driving or parked. If you are looking for a good quality dashcam that covers everything, this is the one.

In my opinion
Ive owned this about 9months now.The video quality is greatSound quality is goodUp until recently some of the sound clips are syncing properly with the video, but this thing has already payed for itself, ive used it multiple times and its never missed a single detail. Although license plates aren't legible its still really good quality,The in app features are too hard to figure out and dont feel reliable, I went with this model because i wanted to be able to access video remotely and upload videos but its to hard to get working and i stopped using my hotspot because it doesn't upload anyway. Seems to be some issues with software,

Expensive but worth it
I have had several no-name dashcams that failed over never worked at all. I'd heard good things about Blackvue, but had shied away because they're pricey. I decided to bite the bullet and am glad I did! The packaging was super nice. However, the difference is the SOFTWARE. The Blackvue phone app just works. No issues.

Best quality dash cam I’ve ever seen!
The media could not be loaded. By far it is the best dash cam I’ve seen out here, compare to the two I sent back from other companies, before knowing anything about BlackVue! Great quality, live streaming, much more

Why did I do this again?
Regretfully, this is my third Blackvue camera. The first one stopped working and the second one was stolen. Once again, there's no other options for auto uploading other than Blackvue. It's 2023 and this industry is still relying on drives. I was hopeful to upgrade to the 70 series but of course that would require a rewire for the back camera and the addition of a new glte modual. I already had to rewire the power for the last upgrade, I have no intention of doing it again. And now as I'm sitting in my passenger seat, even though it's professionally wired throughout. I'm staring at this glob of cables coming out of the side of the camera and seriously thinking about ripping it out, shoving it back in the box, and returning it. What a mess. Plus, I still have not received a response regarding the adapter to hook up the lte that was missing from the box, fortunately I used my old one.Seriously these guys need up their game. Every upgrade requires some type of rewiring, all using outdated adapters and connections. We shouldn't even be using wires at this point. I have 15 cameras in my home that operate on a third of the wires of a three channel camera. And now that Ring is in the picture, as soon as they add multiple cameras, which no doubt will be wireless, they will take over this entire industry. And right behind them will be Arlo and Blink. And so will I.
