I used these as inputs and outputs for a small DC power distribution box that I put together to power a Christmas display. They were easy to mount to the junction box and perform exactly as they should, holding the plugs securely.

The big pro is the wires being "POTTED" encased at the connection to socket. This is a huge plus, particularly if you are using the socket where it will regularly be shifted (such as being mounted to a hinged door.) Or, even along a 3D Printers or a Robots joint axis point is. Had a real bad short occur, just because the lack of that connection being solid, these being encased pretty much resolves that concern completely.

My charger port shorted out and almost caught fire while charging my electric skateboard. Luckily I was able to catch it before it burnt my house down. These soldered to an mx30 worked great as a replacement! I’m using a 4 amp charger with it and it seems to work just fine.

Very high quality power jack. Love that the inner prongs are all the way around. Not just one prong. Makes for a very solid and secure connection. However, be cautious mounting these to any metal panel. The outer prongs are part of the outside threads. I installed this on a metal pedal board and I actually shorted one of my patch cables to the board and made sparks. Had to insulate the power jack and it works fine.

Great for a number of electronic projects. They work and they should and are easy to install. I do with the protective cap held up a bit better, but I can just 3d print some hard caps. My only real complaint I have about these is that I wish the wires were a silicone coated wire. The wires are more like a plastic or PVC type coating. The wires have a tendency to melt when soldering, not an issue if you cover the wire with heat shrink but a silicone wire would hold up better and be more heat resistant.

I bought these to build a DC outlet for my Starlink Mini. The female plugs are very nice and the wiring is sealed at the back of the plug. They firmly connect to the male plug on the OEM Mini cable. Note: You can't just buy these and expect them to power a Starlink Mini off 12v DC using the OEM cable. You need a DC to DC convertor to bump the voltage up to at least 24 volts to use the OEM cable as the voltage drop will be too much.

These are made STRONG vs most out there. Thicker wires, sealed, come with rubber plug ends, hardware, etc. I use these for all my projects (portable Bluetooth speakers, 12v battery power generators, etc)

With a number of different barrel cables (e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DXRBSSM/) the connection was intermittent, would only be (just) stable with the plug half-inserted, having tried a number in turn. Cutting these cables and hard-wiring worked fine.

These feel very robust and well made. Highly recommended

Tested at 8 amps, didn’t get even warm. Fitting is perfect. No complaints
