These oven mitts work great but I did need to modify them a little. I was worried that the open side on the cuffs would result in getting burns on my exposed skin or falling off if I wasn't careful so I sewed it closed. Now it feels really secure and I can hold anything hot no matter how large.

The oven mitts and pot holders are quality products and materials. The silicone on the mitts are a great design and offer good protection for the hands and arms.

A bit bulky but there is nothing on your stove or in your oven it can not handle. The sleeve part is longer than most and it is so very nice when retrieving things from the oven. I bake bread in a Dutch oven at 450 deg. and I never feel the heat like I used to.

If you are in need of quality oven mitts and pot holders, you may have to go no further. I needed a new pair, as my old mitts weren't able to protect my hands well when handling a 450-degree pan. While I had been using an old BBQ mitt, there were times I needed that protection on the other hand, too. So, I went looking for high-temp oven mitts and found this set. While the pot holders are nice in their own right, the mitts really impressed me before I had a chance to get the food item that requires the 450 degree treatment. They are the heaviest and longest mitts I've ever owned, and go about halfway up my arm, maybe a little more. Most importantly, though, is the fact that I feel almost no heat through these, due to the silicone and heavy padding. Because of that heft, you don't have the flexibility with your fingers and thumb, so extra care should be taken. If you are regularly handling very hot pans or utensils, give these a try. Highly recommended!

Great at keeping your hands from burns!

I got tired of buying cheap cute cloth oven mits, you know the ones from dollar general with cute prints on them that would match your decor, then fall apart in a few months or where you had to get something hot from the oven in under two seconds because if you held it too long your fingers would get burnt thought the cloth. Yeah, I was tired of it. So since these were rated so well on being heat resistant, easy to clean and durable, I finally spent the money to buy them. OMG they are even better than advertised, I love the super soft quilted interior, the rubbery slip resistant exterior, the fact that the mit goes almost up to my elbow so I don't have to worry about my forearms getting accidentally burnt. And the fact that you can hold something hot for as long as you need. So freaking awesome, I love these oven mits so much! :) <3
