Q: Which size for a 2011 bmw x5 suv?

Get the larger size. I have a 2021 X5 and it did not cover all the way across. Not even close. At least 3-4 inches uncovered on the sides. You're better off getting the umbrella shield at Walmaet for 14.99. It covers completely. Same productbut different brand and better fit.

Q: I bought this in Feb and it already broke. Only use it when i drive my Audi which is less than once a week. Can i get this replaced?

I didn't try because I ordered mine almost a year ago. Also mine is still usable though one of the "struts" is no longer connected. I wrote it off but maybe if you reach out to the seller and they'll refund or replace. Good luck.

Q: How do you open / unfold this device?

It opens and shuts just like an umbrella however be extremely careful it’s great the dashboard of my car that was less than two weeks old. I returned mine. I really liked it and everything else I was just aggravated that it’s scratched my car after it said that it had protective beads on the end.
