Best value, sturdy
Used these to mount some gutter clips as we have 100mm insulation on the outside of our house. First I drilled a hole the size of the inner screw to remove the top layer of silicone render. The plugs drilled in quite easily from there. I had to install a smaller wall plug inside even though I was using 5x75 screws but once fitted they were solid.

Specialist fixings for insulation clad buildings
Specialist plug fixing needed for securing external wall lights to a house that had been clad with 90mm insulation then rendered. Does the job but expensive for what they are and given the quantity for the price, which seems to be the case for all these types of fixings. There are no instructions provided so you need to know that sealant needs to be applied to top portion of the fixing (closest to surface once installed) so as to ensure water tight once screwed into the insulation. There are many videos online that show how these are to be fitted recommend you watch these first if you are a DIYer using them for the first time.

Not fit for purpose
I puchased 2 bags of these for fixing downpipes into the render of a new external wall insulation system. Despite drilling a large hole, the plastic threads will not wind into the hole and end up breaking, as well as the Allan key hole burring over. I will be wanting a refund on these.
