I just decanted to a pitcher when I needed to, cleaned the bottle and poured it right back in. The plastic lid has a nice gasket in it, but I don't know if it leaks. I'm too chicken to try. For this price, I'm just going to serve it out of the jug. It's much cheaper than buying a bunch of bottles and it's small enough to make pouring easy. Love this! Perfect for first time brewers and small batches. Easy to clean, looks great and very well made. Stable.
