Sturdy and Saves Space!

The media could not be loaded. We got this FitBeast pull-up bar as a gift for our teen sons who had been asking for one, but we weren’t sure where it would fit in our NYC apartment. It ended up working perfectly in the doorway between our kitchen and living room! It installs without screws, feels incredibly solid, and doesn’t damage the frame at all. My kid’s friends always want to try it when they come over. My sons have gotten stronger since we put it up. Sometimes just walking to the fridge, they’l do a chin up or two. It’s safe, easy to adjust and holds up really well.

Surprising and Sturdy

The frame of our door doesn’t support a regular pull up bar so we gave this Fit Beast one a try and I am glad I did. First impression from the great packaging was that this thing was going to be sturdy and impressive. It did not disappoint. It has a foam wrap around entire handle portion of bar which is great for gripping during pull ups. The pads on the sides are big enough to support this to the wall without giving way. Easy to set up, just by a simple few turns of the bar and it tightens and lengthens to fit. Clear markings on side to tell you length if you do take it down for next time. Not only was this great for pull ups, I found I use this now for quick workouts including incline and declining push ups by varying height of bar placement. Dips, crunches, bar rows. If you add some resistance bands or TRX, the list goes on. Fast shipping, very glad I gave this pull up versatile workout bar a chance.

Great product, instructions stink

Overall, this chin up bar is great. It’s does the job just fine and fits nicely in most doorframes. However, the instructions are so bad I almost returned it because I couldn’t figure out how to install it! But, I worked it out and all is well. Just know going in, the product is great, the instructions suck.

Ships to APO/AP and amazingly sturdy

I needed a pull-up bar since local gyms have been shutdown again due to a rise in Covid cases. I was skeptical about using an "inside the doorframe pull-up bar" but, I do not have a doorframe to use those other type of "over the doorframe pull-up bars".The door frame in my place is laughably huge (like 8 inches wide) and the FitBeast did not seem like it was one of those cheesey metal door frame pull-up bars that have been around since the early 90's, you know, like a bad TV commercial product that starts playing around 2 am. This is why I decided to purchase it, it just looks like it is well crafted and suited for its function of pull-ups.I received it much sooner than stated and this product is absolutely amazing. It is definitely a BEAST! From other reviewers stating that it is damaging their American doorframes........yes, I can absolutely see that happening. Modern American doorframes seem to be made for privacy and teens slamming them when they're angry about whatever they're mad about every other 35 minutes. They are definitely not designed for the raw power that the FitBeast can provide to a 185+ lb male to knockout multiple sets of pull-ups. If you do have a steel/metal/concrete doorframe then you will be good.As some reviewers have stated, the width of the doorway will determine the width of your pull-ups. This should really be an obvious no-brainer statement but I did see complaints about the style of pull-ups that can be conducted. I bet if I watched these same complainers do a pull-up or chin-up, I could see they're doing both of them wrong anyways. A pull-up or chin-up is supposed to be pulling your chest to the bar, not you hanging from the bar and pulling your head over it. We're not doing CrossFit with this bar, this is not a "fake workout". LOL You have to use correct form when using the FitBeast or you're not going to like it. Your head will obviously be hitting the top of the doorframe if you're not using correct form.Highly recommend, this badboy is no joke.

Very useful to perform many different exercises.

I use this on my doorway to perform different arm exercises. As long as it is installed tightly it works fine. It looks nice and helps me keep my body in shape. For the price it is very useful.

Worthless piece of junk

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product looked perfect. It is NOT. The instructions are terrible. You can't manipulate the bar to fit it into the doorway. It is awful. What a useless piece of junk if you can't even make it fit because the instructions are terrible.

So freakin strong - but no wooden doorway in the world to handle it!

So first off, this thing is damn strong. It genuinely is industrial grade strength. High quality bar and I can’t nitpick much about it. The issue comes with the fact that I cannot fathom that the average doorway in your typical American household can withstand this thing.I’m 190 lbs and this bar would severely bend every doorway in my brand new house before reaching a point where it could safely handle my weight without slipping. I did the method of gently tightening it until it could hold my weight. At that point, my doorway was stretched sideways about a quarter of an inch on both sides.I cannot see that you will find a way to install this in your house without damaging the walls. I was hopeful, but guess I had to realize no ordinary wooden doorway is supposed to support 150+ lbs applying downward pressure to it regardless of the strength/integrity of the pull-up bar. While the product is solid, it’s use-case is just too limited and I feel other top reviews makes the door/wall damage seem like too much of an “oh well” issue. I would recommend going for the full pull-up/exercise towers you can buy for ~$200 instead if damage concerns you. More peace of mind for your walls and you wont have to worry about anything slipping or taking your walls down with it. All that aside, if you got a metal doorway, my god this thing is 5 stars.
