I recently discovered heart of palm options to replace wheat or rice based noodles or rice for my keto diet. These products are the best that I've discovered yet. Better rice option than cauliflower rice or mash, and better noodle option than zucchini noodles (zoodles). The heart of palm does have a slight "vegetable" flavor and smell, so I find that cooking them slightly, at least in a microwave, but preferably by sautéing a bit, makes a great difference. Instructions on the packages are good to follow.

I don't eat pasta or rice, but love pasta and rice...this is the next best thing. Mixed with favorite broth, seasoning or sauce, a great tasting healthy alternative to bad carb pasta cravings!

The hearts of palm mashed potatoes are really gross. However, the spaghetti noodles and rice taste, very good when mixed into a sauce

I’ve been on Keto for three months and have been trying to find a good pasta substitute for three months. Hearts of Palm comes closer to the mark than anything else I’ve tried, but it’s still wanting. Just like shirataki noodles, it comes in a foul smelling pouch of preservative. Unlike shirataki noodles, though, these have a definite sweet taste to them. It’s not unpleasant, just noticeable when you chew. The texture also is not great, but (again) better than shritaki or Pete’s.That was my experience with the Angel Hair. However, I LOVED the brown rice package. I had it with a spicy stir fry that I did, and it went down a treat. Still a distinctive taste, but the texture was much more palatable as a rice substitute.And for the amount there, the mash is ridiculous high in carbs of you’re trying to stay under 20g/day.I would repurchase the rice if it weren’t for cauliflower rice that I can get at wal-mart and proves me with the same sense of satisfaction in my dishes.

This is one of the worst food i ever tast. Couldn't continue the complete bag. Tried to mix it with different spices and othet flavours, still the same very bad tast. Wast of money. I through it in the trash.

These are so good! My absolute favorite is the mashed potatoes. I fooled myself even though I made them. These don't come out of the bag delicious, but with herbs, spices, olive oil/butter and sauce, they are the perfect pasta substitute for me. I'm keto, but my husband is not, and he loves this stuff too! Great texture and so versatile. For anyone thinking this is going to feel and taste like wheat pasta, change your expectations, be realistic, and be open.The lasagna I made (admittedly a lazy lasagna) is pictured. Now that I know the amount isn't enough to fill a square casserole dish, I'll make the next box in something smaller so I can get more layers. The lasagna noodles are the only ones that were a bit tough, but still great considering what they're made from and how healthy they are.

White rice & spahetti are my favorite. Spaghetti takes onthe fla or of my pasta sauce. Rice is palatable even if not tottaly coated with a sauce. Good with stir fries.
