Sauder River Ranch Full-Queen Headboard, Sindoori Mango Finish

This headboard is beautiful and feels sturdy once assembled. Ready-to-assemble furniture can often end up feeling cheap and flimsy, but so far this headboard has been well worth it. There were no pieces missing, and there was no damage to the parts. Often there are misaligned holes, chipped veneer, exposed particleboard, and warped pieces with this kind of furniture, but to my relief I didn't have any of those problems with this headboard. I did not add the adjustable shelves that can be fit into the two sides because they made the spaces much too small to decorate properly. I estimate there would have been about 4 or 5 inches of space above and below those shelves, which is only room enough to display small trinkets on each shelf. Instead I left them out so that I could fill the entire length of the bookcase with books, and it looks impressive. If you choose books with neutral spines so that they don't detract from the headboard or feel too loud for the sleeping area, using a bookcase as a headboard can really help utilize space in the bedroom. But buyers need to know that if they plan to use this headboard as a bookcase, they'll need to leave the adjustable shelves out and even then it won't hold books that are more than about 10 inches tall. This headboard needs at least two people to assemble; some of the pieces can be awkward and heavy to handle, but that is to be expected. It worked very well to attach it to a queen metal platform bedframe. I only have two regrets: I wish there had been more color options, and I wish the headboard were a little taller. When the bed is fully made, the books are partially hidden and the bookcase looks a tad short. Overall, however, I love this headboard! It adds wonderful character to the room, and I love the way it grounds the bed and delights the eye while being useful for bibliophiles who always need more space for books.

As expected. The headboard was way to assemble. Works great with my queen bed Love the storage. This is my 1nd one. I also have it in king size.

I’m writing this to give my review about this headboard i gave it a 4 out 5 I would of gave it a 5 out 5 because I’m going to see how long it lasts for and over time to see what it does while in use but as far as that it’s a pretty good headboard if your only wanting to pay between 100 and 150! It fits extra storage which is amazing for my controllers, iPad and pictures. The instructions where pretty simple fair to follow if u have extreme patience take your time it’s worth it don’t be rushing it just to use it take your time! The wood isn’t oak or the top line wood but engineered wood is pretty okay for this thing and it’s sturdy just remember if u have a bed railing with wheels on the bottom this thing might move with the headboard attached to the metal frame down there so enjoy! UPDATE 7/15/23 The headboard is still in great shape and has not broke or got damaged well designed and constructed def a good buy for anyone so go ahead and buy it!!

That it was very easy to but together and fit the bed and the finish match other furniture in the bedroom.

First, let me say, the final side is tricky to snap together. I suggest you pull the pins out as far as they go. Then, angle the top in first, line up the holes, then push hard. It took me several tries but everything lined up well. As with all particle board products, do not over-tighten any of the screws. Snug is fine. I as suggest flipping the piece end over end at the step where you need to add the back. At this stage, the piece is flimsy and could fall apart, The finished product looks awesome in my home near the sea and I recommend it to anyone used to assembling their own furniture. BTW, I am 66 years old, and 5'5" and was able to do it by myself.

The first one received looked as if it was a previously returned one as the box was hashed, and the tape was scattered all over it. I opened it up carefully down one side and saw scratches and a corner break. Not surprising considering the condition of the box. "Immediately returned it, but it took an additional 2 weeks from start to finish to finally get one that was indeed in better condition. The new one however also had issues, there is a small hourglass brown plastic piece, you get 2 of them for a corner attachment. The boards were cut to accommodate them, but on one board, that cut notch was not done at all, so I just glued it in place, taking an extra day to build so the glue would set right. There were many pegs that are used to slip into the round hidden fasteners that have a little plastic piece on them. 2 of the peg's plastic pieces were cracked, making the board gap open just a bit and not look more professional. The large screws/bolts used to secure the bedframe to the headboard should have been at minimum 1/4 inch longer as it was VERY difficult to secure them, having to forego adding the washers even. There is a slight error in the preset starter holes on the sides that hold the metal bedframe brackets, so when you secure the hardware, you still have to as I did, added the unused washers under the side boards to raise it up to still have to fight to get the bolts through the holes. It was as if they needed to raise all the preset holes at least 1/4 of an inch higher on all holes on both sides so the screws/bolts will more easily slide into the brackets, assuming they provided slightly longer bolts. They need unloosen the purse strings and go with an additional 1/2 inch long as they are all hidden anyway and the extra 4 cents per bolt won't break the bank, I'm sure. After it was completely assembled, set in place and secured. it is not too bad. Wish they had one that was strictly for a full-size bed and not a full/queen as space is limited, but oh well.

Headboard arrived 4 days after initial order, shipped from Atlanta GA, via UPS. Carton weight was nearly 59lb. Carton was wrapped in heavy plastic with cardboard corners. Inside the carton all pieces were well insulated by styrofoam blocks. No damage noted. One and a half hour assembly time. This included unpacking the box and carrying the pieces upstairs to the second floor guest bedroom for final assembly. Assembly was typical for engineered wood furniture: pin and cam lock system. There were only 12 number 8 Phillips screws to drive for the entire assembly. Kit also included bed frame mounting brackets and two adjustable shelves. Overall very nice appearance for the cost. 10/10

It's not as hard to assemble as I thought it would be . It's not what I would call very sturdy, but it works well enough and looks good. No complaints for the price.

To my surprise when I opened the package I noticed several missing hardware and I was not able to continue with the assembly process. Still waiting for Sauder reply.

Nos encantó la cabecera, tiene espacios para acomodar cosas, es resistente. Nuestro colchón quedó alto así que no lo fijamos (tiene unas piezas para ello) , pero aún así se mantiene de pie sin problema. Y tenía un espacio para adaptar un cargador que se tenía que comprar por separado, pero nosotros lo utilizamos para adaptar otros cables que teníamos.
