I probably have half a dozen of these now. The drags are a little uneven and jerky when new and I could see where that would cause you issues with really light line, but if you disassemble these and lubricate everything inside with lightweight synthetic lubricant they smooth out substantially. I like the small size and light weight, but high retrieve ratio. I MUCH prefer these to spinning reels in almost all panfishing situations though the ice. I feel that they help me catch more fish and make fishing more comfortable.If they have a drawback for me, the spool is entirely exposed on the side opposite of the crank handle. This causes me to have to hold the reel a little awkwardly when I retrieve as I hold these reels with a pistol type grip with my hand around the reel stem and not the rod handle. This would likely not affect you at all if you hold your rod with a conventional spinning reel type grip.

Got a second one after trying the first one I purchased...lined with braid over monofilament as backing...use for fishing lake whitefish.

Works great on my jigging rod. Easy to drop my jig to the bottom

The release adjustment works very well.

The real was great for smaller fish, but quit working after one 16” trout. I don’t recommend for bigger or harder fighting fish!

The drag is a joke. No QC at 🦅 claw these days???? Lost fish messing with it. Put in a package where you can’t test without opening. Buyers beware
