Love this. It easily slides over my hot pot handle and protects my hand from burns. Easy to use and simply wash with soap and water. It fits several of my pots, even with different styles. Do not put it on with the burner on-it will heat up. Put it on after the pot is done being heated.

I use this on my 12" cast iron pan. It slides on and off with a little effort, but it is not completely snug. It does insulate, but it still gets quite warm. So you can use it to hold the pan while stirring, or to rotate the pan, or slide it to another burner. But I would not rely on it for lifting the pan. I recommend using pot holders to do that.

This silicone handle cover does the job—it definitely makes grabbing my cast iron pan way safer and more comfortable. No more worrying about burning my hand on a scorching hot handle! Only downside is that it runs a little big and feels a bit loose on the pan. It still works fine, just not as snug as I expected. I might try a different brand for a better fit, but overall it’s a solid kitchen helper.

I recently bought a red cast iron skillet and surprised myself when I accidentally grabbed the hot handle the first time I used it. I thought I could use a hot pad but that only worked for laying on the lid to prevent myself from grabbing it without protection. This handle cover works well. It is tight enough it fits the handle well and after a minute or two I forgot it was there. It would never fall off and is always there when I want to hold onto the pan while stirring. I want to get one for every pot with a hot handle. The color is perfect and matches the pot. It always surprises me that silicone insulates against heat so well. It definitely protects my hand from burns.

Purchased to see if it could fit some of my pans that do not have heat-resistant handles. However, it doesn't fit any of them. It is a nice thick material.

I have severe psoriasis on my hands and metal irritates it so these are very helpful for me to be able to use my pots and pans.

I recently got my first cast iron skillet after a lifetime of only using nonstick pans. So I'm constantly grabbing the handle out of habit. I burned myself like an idiot several times before getting this silicone handle cover. This handle grip fits snugly on the Amazon Basics cast iron skillet (honestly you have to wrestle it a little since the neck is narrower than the handle end) and doesn't budge. It doesn't make the handle 100% cool - you can still feel warmth through it, but it stops me from burning myself constantly! The package says it's ok up to 400 degrees in the oven. I have accidentally left it on the skillet up to 450 degrees and nothing bad happened. In the oven, it certainly does not stay cool enough to forgo an oven mitt, but it is helpful to get a good grip on the pan through the oven mitt. I pretty much leave it on all the time. It doesn't seem to trap water when cleaning the pan which is helpful since it's a hassle to take on and off. I did remove it to check for rust after 10 or so washes, and there was none. Definitely a worthy purchase for the new cast iron skillet owner!
