Indestructible
This material can not be broken. I tried, repeatedly. I finally lost it in the lake. Amazon fixed me up with a shiny new one that is still cheap after 6 years. Scotty for me.

Great rod holder
I bought 2 of these with the Scotty Square Rail Mount to have when fishing with my Dad and Bro last month. We rent a patio boat and it is often hard to drive and troll at the same time (especially when using pink ladies to get the lures deep). Anyway, I wanted a temporary rod holder that would allow me the freedom to walk around and leave my pole in the water. The mount wasn't a snug fit with the rental's railings, but it was not coming off. I could relax while the holder did the work. Getting the rod out was no issue and I never felt like it was going to come off or break. Very solid and great investment. Now I keep these in my reel case so they're handy.

No other style works with mounts on my vessel. Locks into place, easily adjusted for desired angle.

Super sturdy
