Best chickpeas ever
Best Chickpeas ever. Plump up well over night - seem to be fresher than most. Cook up in less than a hour. Fragrant, silky, great tasting, Large bean - they have a thick soft membrane that is easily removed if needed. Keep up the amazing work Palouse Farms!

I would give these organic glyphosate free chickpeas another 5 ⭐️ if I could. They are delicious & so nice to have at home in my pantry! They are nice & clean product. I just checked for additional debris (non found), rinsed then put to soak & then cook. We eat quite a lot of chickpeas thus so comforting this Palouse Farm cares to grow healthy wholesome produce w/o added chemicals.Thank you Palouse Farms!

Clean, Fresh and Satiating.
I love garbanzo beans; I have since I was a boy. I’ve eaten them extensively (dried and canned) and have used them in many different recipes. Have also been making hummus for years. Decided to give these a shot to see how the local farmers can do.They arrived yesterday and I forgot to soak them overnight, so I just boiled around 2 cups of dried beans for 5 minutes and then let them rest on the stove with a lid for an hour. After draining them and adding clean water, I boiled them again and they finished perfectly around the 45 minute mark. I added some pico de gallo, lemon and a balsamic dressing and sat down for lunch. These garbanzo beans looked clean in the bag, but the taste is even cleaner. Looking forward to seeing how these turn out when I make hummus. By far the best tasting and cleanest, freshest dry garbanzo bean I have purchased to date.Prove me wrong 👌

Higj quality
These are big, beautiful chickpeas. They are super clean, and appear very fresh. I have never found any dirt or rocks. They cook up beautifully and taste wonderful. The best buy date is 31 months in the future. Plenty of time for me to get through this last order of 18 pounds.I buy in bulk and use them primarily for hummus. I do occasionally make roasted chickpeas, or eat them on a salad too. Sometimes I just eat them plain as a snack.I had a question about my order, and their customer service was prompt and courteous. This is my go-to brand. I would have no problem recommending this brand to anyone looking for dried chickpeas.

Excellent quality, size, taste, texture! A bit pricey, but good value for the nutrition.
These beans cooked up perfectly in my electric pressure cooker. I highly recommend them for quality. I bought them online because I didn't see them at my regular stores. I have since found them at the dollar store. These cost me about three dollars a pound. The ones at the dollar store are about one dollar per pound. The difference is that these are the same size as what you get in a can while the dollar store beans are much smaller when cooked. I'm fine with either, as is my family, and so I will probably go to the dollar store kind to save money. However, I still enjoy these very much and can vouch for the quality. I'm sure that the reason the dollar store beans are so much cheaper is that they are so much smaller and therefore not as sellable as the larger beans. These are from Washington state whereas the dollar store beans are from an "ag export" company in California. I could research it, but I suspect that size is the main difference. The smaller ones did cook up a little crisper, but that could have been my cooking method. Since I largely bought these for making hummous (though I've not done it yet), size is not an issue for me. I suppose if you remove the thin peel to make ultra smooth hummous, the smaller ones might have more peel and therefore be less desirable that way too.Gourmets with exacting tastes, people who are picky eaters, and people with specific requirements due to the use of the product, using for entertaining and wanting larger beans, etc. might prefer these to the cheap dollar store beans. Also, the cheap ones are not always available at the dollar store. They are probably also available at the large middle eastern grocery store a mile from me, but I've not checked yet.In conclusion, this is really a superb product that I highly recommend for all uses of garbanzo beans. The only reason I don't use this exclusively is cost versus much cheaper, much smaller beans available at the dollar store. Three dollars a pound for a healthy food that expands considerably once cooked is still an excellent food value. Each pound of dry beans makes about the same as three cans of beans, so you're basically paying a dollar a can plus your cooking time, water, and fuel. They take about 30 minutes from dry beans and water to cooked perfectly in the electric pressure cooker.

missing help from seller
I ordered these to not only sprout but also to grow some microgreens with them as they taste wonderful and are decorative as well as very nutritious - I ran into a few issues with growing them and contacted the seller/producer and - bummer - did get a lot of 'not so great' advice but basically didn't get an answer to my questions - not even regarding how to grow them best indoors for microgreens. I did hope for more advice.

Clean and flavorful
I disliked chickpeas until this one, best tasting and cleanest, freshest dry garbanzo bean I ever met.Soaked 1/2 cup dry over night, no salt! Next day, new water and cooked them for 1 1/2hrs with seasonings (garlic 1 clove cut in half, 1 bay leaf, a pinch of chicken stock seasoning powder and a pinch of salt) until tender.Warm yummy, cold yummy, no gas after effects!
