I cannot tell you how many sofa covers I have bought from Amazon based on reviews. I do have a brand new oversized Lazy Boy recliner couch that is a creme-like color with light Grey in it. Almost Tuscan style, so I went with a color close to the couch colors.The first one I bought from here didn't fit properly and made the living room couch look extremely messy. The straps did not even stretch enough to accommodate the recliners and scrunched up the soft leather on my chairs because it was too tight. So I undid the straps and just laid the cover over it. Within a few days, I tossed it. I was tired of it slipping off the back part of the seat, and naturally that is expected since I couldn't use the straps. And the over abundance of material made it look soooo sloppy no matter how hard I tried to tuck it in all over the place. Sooo, Back to searching on Amazon. I came across a second one where it claimed to be waterproof. Upon arrival, I took it out of the packaging and discovered the main straps on the cover were too short to wrap around the seats but the packaging did came with strap extensions and a plastic thing to connect the straps together. I thought that was great since my recliner chairs are oversized but it was difficult to connect together especially with a bad back. So I didn't bother to use them. I just laid it over the couch, again, and that was that. I grew tired of the backing sliding off, again. And, AGAIN, thats my problem since I couldn't connect the strap extentions. I dealt with it. So one day I noticed my cap to a regular water bottle ended up leaking. It turned out that this so-called waterproof cover was NOT very waterproof at all. The water went straight through wetting my new couch. Yes, I have the added protection from Lazy Boy but still prefer to avoid any accidents on my soft leather. I was NOT happy. Back to Amazon I went and I came across this cover. Read reviews and bought it.After arrival, I immediatley removed the old one and put this new one on. They have label tags on the backside to tell you its the backing. If you ordered colored protectors then probably not a big deal. But i ordered the cream-like color to match my sofa and that helped with placing it on the couch.Now, I will say that the straps are much easier to wrap around the seats without the soft leather of the couch looking scrunched up - huge game changer!! And was much easier on my back. It doesnt look as messy as the others. And to top it off, I was amazed how super soft this is to the skin, which really surprised me!! The backing definitely has that waterproof protection compared to the others that did NOT despite claiming "Waterproof".So you have the straps on the back-side of the cover to place around the recliner back. The straps are placed around the mid area of the cover which worked perfectly on my couch. You also have elastic straps to wrap around the foot rest too. I haven't wrapped it yet so that it could stay in place, but because of my back (L4-L5 severely herniated/bulging with severe sciatic pain and spinal stenosis) and I live alone, I am unable to bend over to slip them on, but I plan to have someone take care of that for me.Anyways, I am very happy with this cover and plan to purchase another one so that I am able to switch out when it needs to be laundered. I have provided a picture to share. Still looks a bit sloppy, but please keep in mind I immediatley put this cover over my couch straight from the packaging. Lots of wrinkles and the material hasn't had time to relax, but compared to the other god awful ones, this one is much better!I hope this review helps. I definitely recommend buying this cover vs. the others listed on Amazon. There are so many merchants selling couch covers on here that it can be a bit overwhelming. I definitely recommend this cover, especially if your couch is oversized. LOOK NO FURTHER, AND DO NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE THIS ONE!! We all know how Lazy Boys are NOT cheap!! If you're looking to protect your investment from liquids and color transfer from clothing, this is very ideal.

I already own two covers by this seller and purchased a third one for a new piece of furniture. I have two elderly cats who occasionally vomit on the furniture, and these covers have helped me avoid expensive professional cleaning costs. I've never had anything leak through these covers.I've noticed that some reviewers are concerned about how well the covers stay, or don't stay, in place. I've never owned a cover that stayed put after using that piece of furniture, so I expect to have to adjust it after use.The only drawback to owning these covers is that they have to be air dried. You can wash them in your washing machine (if it's large enough), and then you have to find a place to hang them to dry. Personally, I don't mind the minor inconvenience because they do such a good job of protecting my furniture from the kitties.

I bought this for my dark brown leather recliner couch. It’s well designed, fits well. They provide white elastic to keep it in place. But it needed more in different places. I bought brown elastic 2” wide (on Amazon) and added straps at the top in back and replaced the white elastic the cover came with. Looks better and stays in place when my dogsjump up to take a nap. Just needed a little customization.

This couch cover fit well on our couch that has a recliner on each end and a middle seat that folds down to become a table. The bottom half stays in place fairly well given my two large dogs jumping up and down from the couch multiple times a day. However, the top half will not stay in place. The bands that stretch around the back of the seats at the top are too loose and there isn't a good way to secure them. We eventually gave up fighting with putting them back in place and just tucked them under the seat portion.

Waterproof for sure. Suggesting you wash it before you use it though.

It was hard to find the extra large size that fit. Great fit and my pets like it too😁😁

The reason it only got 4 stars is because one of the elastic bands broke that keeps the cover from bottom of the chair in place. Also, the top that flaps over the top of the recliner keeps falling forward. But overall good coverage not as soft as I'd like it to be. It does the job of keeping the recliner clean.

I am so happy with this product! It has already saved my leather couch 4 times ! My cat has a UTI and has been urinating outside of the box. Unfortunately she chose my couch a few times. Without it I would have been devastated with my new leather couch ruined. I just pull it off and wash on a normal cycle and dry on low heat. People complain that it requires a lot of adjusting, but that's not a big deal in my opinion. One can't expect a cover to stay perfectly on all the time. It's already paid for itself. I am looking forward to finding and purchasing the right size for my love seat as well. I am very happy with this company's product!!
