The overall build of this bbq is fairly straight forward but when i come to put the grills in place there were significant gaps so they would be moving about all the time when you were cooking. When i explained this to the company they were not interested and told me that was how it was manufactured. I ended up fabricating my own grills so they fit properly. Not really what you want after paying nearly £300 for a product that you have to build yourself.

I got this as it looked bigger than most and I wasn't disappointed.Easy to put together but it took a couple of hours due to its size and the complexity of the fire pit raising mechanism.Really sturdy once constructed. 2 Huge cooking areas provide great flexibility and can easily be used for off heat cooking.Raising fire pits allowd good control of on heat cooking. Multiple vents allow good air flow and heat control.Pits can be difficult to clean, i'd recommend a small fireplace hand shovel. Removable ash tray is good and helps.4 Cooking racks slide left and right to give access to fire pits for adding coals. Also means the racks fit in the dishwasher as they aren't too big.

Thermostat doesn’t work and collects water also tray for the ash ends up collecting so much water constantly have to empty it

Would have scored it higher but the retaining pins are not fit for purpose and I replaced them for peace of mind.

Overall the bbq is a good price for its size. The 2 adjustable charcoal trays allows for better control of cooking and also allows for small or large gatherings. The main body could do with another strut to add a bit more stiffness, but once built it is OK. May be me being a bit ott, but generally a really good bbq. Would recommend.

I bought this Charles Bentley Charcoal BBQ Grill in 2020 and the rate at which it has deteriorated is appalling. Both charcoal pans have disintegrated from the heat of burning charcoal in them to such an extent that I have had to repair them with chicken wire. This is despite the BBQ being cleaned, covered and overwintered in my garage. Also the BBQ is useless for any lid-down indirect cooking due to the flimsy lightweight steel that it is constructed from. This product is Chinese tat at its absolute worst, do not buy.
