Torin 5 Men's Shoes, Black, 10 M (US)

we were fitted at a local shop, and were hoping to find online at a slightly cheaper price, and we did. My son has trouble with falling ankles, and wears orthodics. He likes a generous toe box. These look good and feel great to him.

I have had surgery on both of my very flat feet. These shoes are so comfortable! They have a wide toe box & we're recommended by my orthopedic surgeon.

These cheap pieces of cloth tear so easy I stepped on the side of a rock and it cut the outside fabric on my shoes. Plus zero arch support. Customer service basically told me to kick rocks. Stay away.

Overall rating on 1-5 scale: 3.Prior to purchasing the Torin 5's, I was a serial Torin 4.5 user. The most comfortable running shoe I've ever owned. Tons of support, tons of cushion. I learned how to be a medial/front foot striker runner in these babies.What I loved even more about the 4.5s was the fact that they didn't lose their utility once the cushion/shoe life cycle ended. I'd use my old 4.5's as house work shoes or transition shoes when I needed to wear cleats as a referee but wanted a comfy, roomy shoe in between games.The 5's are lightweight, provide a ton of support, and are overall a good shoe. They run smaller than the 4.5's (a nightmare for any runner who establishes a comfort level with a particular model), they run narrower than the 4.5's, and they are firmer/stiffer than the malleable 4.5s. I'm not sure why so many major changes occurred in one shoe model, but it was utterly disappointing.I have run about 50 miles in my 5's and know that I'm stuck with them, now. I'm either going to have to find a different ALTRA model to run in, now that they have destroyed this line, or start shopping the alternate market for old, unused 4.5s.Count me as disappointed.

For me, not a runner, these did not provide enough toe box room. When compared to the Torin 5 Luxe, which has fabric all the way up to the end seam, they felt a bit constricted. I use these to work in the dental industry and when walking.

The quality of construction seemed questionable right off the bat due to visible glue at the seems and overall feel. I decided to keep them though because of their light weight, natural foot shaped design, and comfort. Sure enough a couple weeks after the return window had expired, the tread started pealing off in a few spots on both shoes. These were only worn casually to the office, mind you. I contacted Altra directly for a warranty claim which they informed me they would only honor themselves if I had purchased directly through their website and that I needed to contact the original seller for a warranty claim. Any company worth their salt will honor a warranty no matter where you purchase from. So they obviously dont stand by their product and were giving me the run around. Amazon didnt have any way to give me a "warranty" however being Amazon they let me return them anyway for a full refund. I have another pair of Altra Lone Peaks i purchased around the same time that are now just a few months later tearing apart down the side of the cuff of the shoe just from taking on and off. At this price these shoes should not be falling apart so soon with only light casual use. And Altra have proven to not be a trustworthy company who stand by their shoes. Therefore I would not recommend any Altra shoes to anyone.

I've been wearing Altra shoes since Lone Peak 2.5 and have the Torin 4.5 which are great fit well and have a supremely comfortable tongue system. The Torin 5 unfortunately changed the tongue system so that is hits right at the joint in the ankle especially during flexion of the foot. The rest of the shoe fits will, I hope they update the Torin 6 with the 4.5's tongue.

These are tremendously comfortable and supportive shoes. However with little to no use the bottom rubber that protects the foam sole has started to delaminate. No running, nothing unusual just walking on smooth concrete floors at work. This seems to be a common problem from other reviews I've seen. For this price especially these are absolute garbage.

Schuhe wurden schneller geliefert als angegeben. Man läuft mit den Schuhen wie auf Luftpolster und auch einsteiniger weg ist an den Füßen nicht spürbar
