You need the stainless steel pins.The ones that came with my tool quickly bent or broke. These did the job they are stainless.And much stronger

These pins are very strong. I used them to replace pins on a cheap tool which broke. These are much much stronger.

Wrench was well made. Pins engaged holes in trim caps well. Used to rebuild power trim unit on Yamaha outboard

Was very surprised with how tight the trim caps on the boat were. Seals have been changed every 3 years by dealer and decided to do it myself to save some money. So glade I read up on job and took advise of all people and broke down and bought tool up front. Honestly don't this I could have done job without it. Well, at least without destroying the caps which would have cost me about 50 dollars each. Very easy job with tool and a breaker bar. Thanks Marine Tech!

Despite a quite confusing shipping, product arrived as advertised and in good condition.

Tool looks great but for a stuck cap this won’t do the trick. Sheared off all 3 pins without much effort. Not sure if you guys can find a better material for the pins but it would certainly help. This also only grabs 3 points, would be better if you could get all four points. Worked great to tighten back up but that’s about it.
