I am a pear shape size 14W-16W pants. I found that the XXL is too large in the waist (I have a 36in waist, 46in hips). The Xl fits me well and has the coverage in the length that makes this the most flattering skort around. Black or the maroon dark colors are very flattering. I think you will love the skirt.

Yes fits true to size - I am 5'5" and 125 lbs and a small fit perfectly. The shorts underneath are stretchy. The material is great for moving around and working out, is light and also looks cute so is a win-win situation

You could, but I have always gentle wash cycle and line dry. The material will pill and pull if you're not careful.
