The Amazon driver personally handed me the box. Which was flawless (and heavy- of course). The packing was superb. There was no damage to the packaging or the vise. The vise is incredible. Smooth and accurate. Beautiful. Old school AMERICAN tool Quality. Yep. It cost more. Yep. You get what you pay for. In the race to the bottom, this vise doesn’t care about that race. It’s in a completely different class. Oh, And the stop was on the front of the vise as was mentioned by another reviewer.

ABSOLUTELY! 6 STARS! Over the years I have bought and used at least half a dozen different 'imported' mill vises. If I had all the money I spent on imports I could have bought a made-in USA Kurt DX a long time ago. This Blue Beauty is flat, square, straight, and PERFECT. Precision parts are now a joy to produce instead of trash-canned rejects with the import vises. Ed B.

The vise came as described, package was a little rough but there was no dings on the vise itself. Kurt is always a good go to vise, and with proper care these vises will last a lifetime.

It's true sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Awesome vise, the work stop was missing in the box, a few emails and calls to Kurt and they sent the work stop. Good customer service, Great product. I could not find it here but I did purchase the swivel base also and it's a must.

Over all this is a great value. Buy quality, and own it for generations. The handle is a little on the long side but not a big deal.

Excellent vise, pricy but worth every penny. I’m no machinist, but I can tell it will last a lifetime.

It's a Kurt, love this vise. The only thing I don't like is the small stabilizer bracket for the screw on the front of the vise is loose. I have a d688 and the jury is still out on which is better.

It's a KURT... that's all you need to know. Fit and finish is perfect. One area this vice beats the rest is the fact that it opens to 9". So many of the other 6 inchers on the market only open 6 or 7 inches. So being able to clamp a 9 inch part is golden.
