Previous solar blanket covers have been much heavier and made of a plastic type of woven material. After a few years (maybe 3 or 4) it starts to break down and becomes brittle. This cover is made of a thinner and more flexible material that should last a very long time. It's easier to handle as well.

Update: only one summer in SFL. Was hoping it'd last longer, but it has been a brutally hot summer. Fabric is shredding, but I guess for the price, I shouldn't complain, but I did drop a star.......Bought last Nov, but only putting it on now that "winter" is over.The velcro is sewn on, and the end ties have pull locks so it won't come loose, and it fits perfectly! I didn't rate durability, tho it has a silver coating on the inside that looks promising, but we'll see how it handles a SFL summer. I have bought variations in the past... too loose, velcro came unstuck, turned black in no time, etc. So, this is the best ever.... so far.

The first cover I bought was to short and way to big around. I returned it and tried again and this one is absolutely perfect. It fits like it was custom made. Easy to put on or off and price was excellent. I can’t tell you how long it will last but right now I am very pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend.

You get what you pay for with this reel cover. The fabric is THIN. Thin like rayon but not the same texture. The inner cover is silver reflective and the outside is beige. My in ground pool is 18x22 and this was used for our solar cover. It was a bit big which was fine as long as the wind didn't catch it. The velcro didn't stay attached when that happened so we had to wrap bungee cords around to keep it secure. At the end of our 2nd season when we went to remove the cover it pretty much disintegrated in our hands. Parts of it literally turned into a powder. Our reel is stored out of direct weather and sunlight in the winter so I was pretty surprised how quickly this cover deteriorated. Our solar cover ended up damaged and split in 2 places. A heavy duty tarp would be thicker and likely have done a better job. Invest in a good cover or a good tarp bc this particular product will cost you money in the long run.

This cover was purchased to replace a dark green vinyl cover that I purchased for $50. It did not last one winter. The fabric on my recent purchase of the codree cover seems more durable. I was excited when I opened it because it just felt good. After placing it on my solar cover I began joining the Velcro strips to close it around cover.To my dismay the Velcro does not run the full length of this cover ~ just every few feet. So, where there is no Velcro it gaps and hangs open. I cut sections of rope and tied it around each gaping section which was not the smooth look I was hoping for. The price was great and I do like the fabric.

Wraps completely around the solar cover and the ends secure tightly . Good value and easy ise

I like the end draw strings and Velcro that’s attached. I’ve only had it on for the last 2 weeks of the season. Hopefully it will last longer than the plain plastic covers I have had in the past.

I was only able to use this for one season. The cover split down the center as I was trying to cover my solar cover for the winter. It was an inexpensive cover, and the fabric is very, very flimsy. If you only want to use it for one winter, then this is pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. The only positive comment is that it was true to size.

I found the velcro strips (mine had 5) were adequate to keep the cover in place unless there were severe winds in which case I used some cords. The fabric is thin but seems fairly durable compared with my prior plastic cover. I have a 16 ft wide blanket and the fit was spot on. The colour was tan - a bit odd. All in all, good value for money in my estimation.

The cover is great for a year. Velcro and tied ends work well. This is the second one I have bought as I found the first one went brittle over the winter and ripped easily but for the price, it's certainly easy to use and does the job.

Very nice cover. Could have used at least 4 more velcro closures to ensure leaves, snow and other debris does not blow up under the cover.

We bought this solar blanket cover early in the summer and I have to say, we've been really happy with it. It is easy to put on and take off, the velcro makes it so easy to secure, and it has lasted really well compared to the previous covers we have bought. Great product!
