do not overtighten, strips easily by hand
really wish I had installed this right away as I'm past the return window.. it appears to be of good quality except that the when tightening the nut with my fingers it stripped or cracked. i was only tightening it so the foam gasket would crush and the pump would sit flush.. i guess that was more than it could handle.. in an item like this if the nut has large grip flanges like this it should be able to withstand being tightened.. otherwise they should have a smaller gripping surface on the nut... hoping they contact me and send a replacement anyway, then i can review my review

Seems ok, not exactly brushed nickel
My old moen soap dispenser was plastic painted to look like steel. It was glued by two little plastic pins to the pump part. Ultimately broke off. Last moen faucet I’ll buy. I decided I wanted an under sink dispenser so I didn’t have to keep filling the small bottle. That’s what this is for. Three sizes of stoppers included. One fit a Mrs. Meyers 32 oz bottle perfectly.Anyway, this was the third replacement I bought after returning the previous two different brands. It came in sort of a zip lock bag with all the parts, except no instructions. Figuring out was fairly easy after watching 9,768 YouTube videos. They have a little piece of tape to tell which end goes in the pump. Otherwise the check valve won’t work. When you screw on the plastic retaining bolt make sure you get it on flat. If you have to force it, you didn’t.You need somebody to hold the top in place or it won’t screw on and to make sure the sink hole is covered.Once it’s on you need to pump about 25 times the first time. After that it should work fine.I would describe the color more as bright stainless than brushed nickel. Maybe it will darken up over time. Looks nice regardless. All of these dispensers are variations of Chinese junk. This one was cheaper. Metal tubes and fittings are useless on these so don’t be fooled. All they’re for is to tighten the top on and hopefully you only do that once. Plastic is fine for that. The soap goes through the thin plastic tube to the soap bottle inside the sink. Unlike some others this unit did not include a soap bottle , which I didn’t intend to use anyway.Took about 10 minutes to install with a helper and I’m not that handy.Hope this is helpful.

A fantastic soap dispenser for our sink
This has been a really lovely addition to our kitchen sink. Previously I'd opted not to get a soap dispenser because an aunt of mine has one that's got a little bottle of soap directly underneath it and I've seen first hand what a pain in the ass that can be to change when it runs out. What attracted me to this one is the longer hose that runs to a much more easily accessible and larger bottle of soap in the cabinet beneath my sink. So refilling it is as easy as buying more soap, unscrewing the cap, and sticking the plug end of this inside of it. I also really wanted brushed nickel to math the faucet I installed earlier this year. This thing is all kinds of easy. Installation is dead simple and required no tools apart from my hands. The plastic filler that occupied the hole in the sink where this went on was likewise needed to be twisted off with my hands alone. The only place I can think of that screwing up would even be possible might be forgetting the foam pads that go on both sides of the hole to create a tighter fit. After that you've got three different sized plugs to choose from to create an air tight seal on the soap bottle, I opted to use the biggest plug to create a very tight fit. From there it's just a matter of pumping the dispenser until the soap starts to come out. This is the one place where installation felt like work because I had to pump for a good minute to get the soap all the way through the length of plastic tubing. A small price to pay for convenience.Overall this soap dispenser looks nice, was easy to set up, and has proven quite handy to have around. I've got no qualms or caveats to add. This was, for us, just a fantastic choice from start to finish.

NOT HAPPY, NOT AS ADVERTISED, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALMOST NON-EXISTANT
Before I purchased this, I sent in a question about this fitting through a 1:" thick granite countertop. I was assured it would and told that I could contact the company for an extension if needed. I noticed others had asked this same question and received this assurance. I received it in August, had to remove the previous dispenser by cutting through it because of frozen threads. When I went to install this one, the stem that goes through the countertop was too short. The instructions gave a Facebook contact to request the adapter. I went to this and requested the adapter. This was in mid September. I did not hear anything until late October. I answered their question about what I needed and where to send it, but got no further communication. I am left with a hole in my granite that had to be capped, and my previous detergent pump that has been destroyed. I really wanted to use this so that I would not have to fill a detergent bottle frequently. Had I known of the company's unresponsiveness, I would have rapidly returned this and rather than cutting out my old pump, I would have purchased the extension tubing, available through other vendors, alone. The old pump was much more sturdy than this one anyway. I purchased an extension kit for another pump and it worked just fine. I didn't have to give up my good quality pump for one that was a lot more flimsy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUMP1

Pretty good for what it is.
I debated whether to give this 4 or 5 stars. I came to the conclusion that for what it’s priced at, I had to give it 5 stars. Yes, the materials feel cheaply made and it feels like the metal is rubbing a little when you pump it but remember this isn’t a $200 plus premium kitchen faucet set. It is exactly what I was looking for. In the next few years we plan to remodel the kitchen at which time we will get a new sink with a premium faucet set and I’ll be much more critical of that one. I recently got a very inexpensive amazon faucet which I would say is has surprisingly very high quality cheap price point. I was just tired of constantly filling the small soap bottle every few weeks for the old one it replaced. Originally I was just looking for the tubing to convert the one that was there but the fact that I could also get the pump for a few dollars more and closely match the finish of the faucet it seemed like a no-brainer. It is a good temporary to semi-temporary replacement to get me through the time I’ll have this sink. The only reason I debated the 4 star rating was because there were these “lines” almost like scratches or etching in the base but again for the price point it works. I have no idea how long it will last so I cannot comment on that but I will say it was a good buy for what it is. Hopefully you find this helpful.
